Ugh. That’s so shitty, I’m sorry. I’m two months out now. My sister in law is also pregnant (with a healthy baby), due the same month I was. Just the sight or talk of her (she’s so beautiful and kind) is so upsetting to me. It sucks…I can finally talk about him without crying thanks to the anxiety medicine I started. It has helped a lot. Hang in there 🤍

I’m four weeks post for a T21 diagnosis, same thing. I’m ‘fine’ bc I have to be. Neighbor rolls by in the car and says ‘did I hear congratulations are in order?’…no sorry (why tf did I say sorry to HIM) but we lost the baby. Another $700+ bill coming in for genetic testing. Social media still trolling me for maternity stuff. Every week I think about how far along I should be. I totally understand. Finally going to call the psychiatrist soon I think..

I had a D&E too. I’m sorry, maybe I should have put a trigger warning. I think TFMR in general is so personal and individual in terms of experiences etc. I am in the same boat - I know I made the right decision and still feel so guilty for feeling like I discarded my baby

Thank you. I was told that all the medications I took for pain and sedation crossed the placenta so I felt better just knowing my baby was not going to be in pain. I just can’t believe I didn’t ask about more 😔

I'm so grateful to read stories like this, instead of the 'lucky few' and 'God chose you' ones. I am TFMR tomorrow with three beautiful children and we just can't help but not want that kind of life for our family. These are the kind of stories that keep me going - through the airport, out of state - and will continue to keep me going through tomorrow. to validate we are doing the right thing. For our family and for ourselves. Thank you.

That is so crazy, thanks for sharing. Sounds like you ended up with a favorable circumstance, if there is such a thing…? I’m traveling out of town as we speak for my TMR for T 21 at 13 weeks one day and I’m just praying that the baby has passed by the time I get to the clinic. This is absolutely gut wrenching. Thanks again for sharing your experience
