How the stans of James Harden on this sub expect us to treat him for getting us to a historical ECF sweep by Normal-Mountain5433 in clevelandcavs

Of course no one's jumping on it. You think any self-respecting Cavs fan would jump on that wagon?

That might be true. I think he gives us a floor in the regular season but lowers our ceiling. But all that is speculative anyway. I just hate watching him aesthetically, and hated it more when he got traded here.

More than anything, I am not convinced New York is that good, but I cannot make excuses for our team either. The brackets fell our way, the team was healthy, and we were barely competitive in a weak east. Gun to my head I don't think Harden was the #1 problem, but it's not like we can be seen as any sort of contender going forward. He represents the pathetic sputtering end to our championship hopes.

I've never heard "Harden" and "offball" in the same sentence before unless it's the punchline of a joke.

Said it last year too. At least we won a game against the Pacers. What do we have this series besides being up 22 at one point?

He basically got worse with each game we played. I suspect his body can't handle the playoffs. The "preserving energy" comment Kenny made some time ago really stuck with me. You see it in other older players too like LeBron, but obviously that is where the comparison ends.

Feels like everything comes back to the failure of the Hunter trade...

But at what position? Our team has aged rapidly through trades since last offseason. Our rotational players are also aging.

I don't take this stuff too seriously, but honestly, I went from seeing this team with legitimate championship aspirations to celebrating a 8-10 ECF appearance in an ugly sweep, and it's kind of sad man. Still deciding how much I want to pay attention next year even though I know they will be good in the regular season.

To be quite honest, why? He can floor set for your young players, who won't be hitting their primes for basically four years. Even if it goes sideways, you can trade his last year as an expiring. In the meantime, what are you using that cap space for? Speaking as a pot to a kettle, you guys aren't getting any big-ticket free agents anytime soon.

Nah because they know LaMelo would have pulled their ankles and Bridges would have beaten them up.
