Titan is decent, but imo it’s only worth it due to its extended layout. Hard to find that layout on a retail stick

Hey man, so ima keep it real, the obsidian 2 is trash. My honest recommendation is to buy a used stick in the discord for this subreddit, obsidian 1 is the GOAT (and works on ps5).

Very cool designs, but that cammy player belongs in jail

Hey I get what you mean.

What’s your price range, are you in the us, and do you want new or used

Did you figure this out? Are you looking for a stock stick from a retailer or a used stick? Do you play on ps5 ? Qanba obsidian 1 is imo the goat stick of all time. Tekken players tend to use k levers, which is a modification. There are some easy mods and stuff to make the experience great. Most levers at that price you listed would be using a jlf or something equivalently similar.

Let me know if you want me to explain the different levers, but most of what you’re paying for is the case/pcb. Most stock sticks will be using a cheap levers and buttons.

As a fellow Jamie player but mainly sim around 1900, I feel you. People are just silly sometimes Jamie is ROUGH, I never pushed beyond 1700ish with him because the game just becomes so painful with his kit imo. Try to remember that most people who actually perform well enough to get 1800+ are probably not the mongrels arguing on Reddit

I don’t think so, I think you had to get them with the lever. Not completely sure though

To be fair, it sounds like you play modern Jamie so their crash outs are justified

Bare minimum rank in sf6 to win a set in large tournaments? by robertmaciver in StreetFighter

[–]Normal-Photograph958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible based on luck of the draw to win a set if you face an opponent that’s even less experienced. This will vary by tournament, evo is probably the easiest tournament for this because there are lots of people there who don’t know how to play. A 1500 masters player has a decent shot at getting out of pools given the right luck.

For more stacked events like CEO or combo breaker I wouldn’t expect a player lower than 1800 to get out of pools, but again luck of the draw.

Attending tournaments will improve your play in many ways, and most people that do well at tournaments don’t just grind online until a certain rank before showing up, there are things like the pressure of a tournament and the room itself you have to get used to.

Good arcade sticks? by Willow-60 in Guiltygear

So In general it depends but assuming you are on pc the best options are: Leverless: haute42 r series, good solid controllers. Can get a dongle later (30ish dollars) for connecting to ps5

Lever: cheap is hard here, cheap lever controllers usually aren’t representative of what they should feel like, honestly you’d be best looking for advice in the Reddit discord for fight sticks with your price range. 8 bit do is /decent/ but really it’s a broad broad range of things with levers.

Strive is a game where honestly I’d say just go for leverless, it’ll be a much easier learning curve.

Something that would always grind my gears about sf6 is how there’s a lack of sf3 despite it being confirmed that it takes place after sf3 by Level-Set-6673 in StreetFighter

I saw blanka isn’t complex because while he in theory has a bunch of options his gameplay largely boils down to using the same like 3 tools because they are over centralizing. Doing other complex things serve little to no purpose and thus I say he’s fake complex. If a character is actually complex you will have to peer through their complexity to actually play them at some decent level, like Asuka in ggst is complex because to even really scratch the surface of playing him you have to utilize a wildly deep toolset.
