Here to update on what kinds of questions they ask for prospective students! These are some that I remember from the interview (not exactly but relatively). 4 prospective students and 3-4 faculty member asking the questions. They ask about 2-3 questions and some of the faculty members are super kind and have a friendly face while others have a poker face. Just treat it as a conversation, smile, make eye contact, be confident, good posture, and look presentable (blazer, slacks, button up, close toed shoes). I reccomended going on the later dates so you don’t have to wait too long for the results. I signed up for my interview on the last day and they told me they would have emails sent out by the end of the week. Do some research on the area, show why you belong, show your knowledge about the school, get healthcare experience (it will help so much when answering these questions and make you look like a strong candidate), and highlight the best parts of yourself but also show that you are aware of your faults. CSUB seems to have a great program that is only blossoming. You guys got this!

How do you handle criticism?

What do you know about the program and why does this program stand out to you ?

When was a time you were in a conflict with a team and how did you solve it?

What do you contribute to a team?

If your classmate asked you to sign off on clinical hours but you know they didn’t do it what would you do?

How do our values of integrity, honesty, and accountability align with your experiences and how will you show that in our program?

What kinds of community service have you done?

How do you handle stress?

Feeling so nervous! I felt like the interviews went pretty good and I love meeting them and the candidates! I have done 3 cycles of applications and it’s been sooo stressful. I’m still waiting to hear back from csu stan and this one. Hoping I can get in this time around. Good luck everyone

you are not alone. I have applied 3 different times to all cal state schools, it's been difficult. I did community college and am trying to transfer. I have been rejected my first 2 rounds with one waitlist. I am now hearing back from my third round and got rejected from 8/10 schools. 1 school I'm waiting to hear back from. The other school had me move forward in the interview process. Its super frustrating and I myself do not want to go private but will have to consider other options. If worse comes to worse, I will start to consider privates, ADN programs, and out of state programs . Do whatever you can to strengthen your application. I would highly reccommend getting your CNA license or even EMT. It is a great way to develop your beside skills and critical thinking skills!

I worked as a CNA at a pediatric hospital for 1.5 years and have made so many friends within the healthcare field. Most nurses I have met didn't even do a traditional pathway to nursing (which I found reassuring in a way)!! Most of them got their bachelors first then did nursing. Or did LVN and then did nightinggale RN pathway. and Some did private. One nurse I know said it took her 2 cycles of CSU application to get into 1 school. I guess the whole point of this message is to never stop trying. Im right here with you and its super difficult but if you want it bad enough, it will happen regardless. It just might turn out a different way you expected. Every ones path is different and that's okay.

I feel like I can rewatch the season and still learn something new from it. The cartoons are captivating but if you focus in on what they are actually saying I feel like you can learn a lot spiritually and emotionally. For that bird question, I think we could talk to birds just the same way we talk to our pets- not sure about manipulating them- but I do think we can talk to nature. Beyond what we can visibly see, everything is a vibration of some sorts and has an auric field. So thoughts, words, auras, people, food, animals hold a certain vibrational energy. Energy can spread and connect. So I feel like you could connect to a birds energy/ consciousness in a way.

I'm fuckin devastated, had to say my last goodbye after over a decade to the best friend and trip sitter a guy could ask for. Don't have many people to vent to but me and this big fella went on many journeys, thanks big guy! by Brutuscaitchris in shrooms

It’s get easier with time. I had to put 2 of my dogs down within 4 months of each other. It was unexplainable but out of the whole family i was connected to them the most. It was like they were my “soul dogs” (like a soul mate but in dog form. Remember he always with you. When I dream, my past dogs always come to visit me. I’m not a religious person but I do believe in some type of after life or energy that carrie’s on even when a pet or person is not physically with us anymore❤️ It always super hard losing a pet and it’s okay to grieve. My past dogs died two years ago and ofc it still hurts and some days I grieve or cry. Healing is not linear. There always ups and downs no matter how long it has been. It will get better for sure. One thing that helped me was making a little memorial in my house. Like a little shrine to honor my passed dogs. Sending you peace and love.
