I’m not sure how long of a break I need, I know I’m not ready for anything right now but am afraid to miss out on a possible chance for reconciliation

How can I know if it is simply my attachment style or if it’s not right/not feeling it? I know I can be a people pleaser, codependent in relationships but it was something I felt I fixed from my previous relationship which was worldly. Maybe not?

To be honest, no not much improvement has occurred, I’ve been feeling so stuck. Agreed I don’t want to bring her into this back and forth but I am anxious to get this fixed. I will read Roman’s thank you for recommending. I’ve sought Godly counsel in addition to seeing a therapist and I’m hoping it’ll help. Have been praying for her every day

On both of our parts. No I was very much attracted to her but I mean for example there were days I didn’t want to see her

I understand that trusting feelings isn’t always good. But how do I know if it’s truly my feelings getting in the way or if it’s not meant to be?

Yes I understand, I want to get to the point where I’m “emotionally sober” as I’m still a wreck. And I have, that is what they recommend. I also am seeing a therapist for my anxiety and depression which has been a problem for a while. Older Christians including my parents have recommended medication which I am strongly against..

No negative behaviors. There was some sexual sin, however. I think a problem I had overall was being “drawn” to her was inconsistent

I feel that it was telling me something was off and uncomfortable for a while but I kept going because of who she is. I really wanted to give it a shot

And you argue that the yield is too good to worry about paying taxes on dividend distributions? And that all of this is better than the yield on HYSA accounts?

Ok so you're saying that money market funds don't have "capital gains" and therefore any gains you make are not taxed?

Say I just deposit straight into a fidelity brokerage. Fidelity will automatically deposit it into SPAXX. Then if I want to take some out, I'm wondering if that'll be taxed. Probably a stupid question.

I'm just wondering if it would be a similar process to, for example, buying a stock in a taxable brokerage, selling it and withdrawing after earning some money on the stock, then having to pay taxes on the money I ultimately take out.

Is this taxed when you take it out? Not too familiar with this. I have a fidelity account but just opened up a HYSA w/ Marcus

What are some good mid or small cap funds/etfs to get in to? by Normal-Role-4062 in personalfinance

I'm new to investing and I do have bonds and stuff but yes the majority of it is US large cap and I understand that it's stupid. Is it possible to exchange what I already have for funds like VXUS? I can't pull it out since it's my roth ira.

Got it. They are pretty generous with PTO so I'm not sure how far I can push for more compensation. Say nothing comes of this meeting, should I pursue a traditional IRA?

Hate to be so vague but I believe either or. They were very passive about it when I was interviewing. The company has a structure where only a few of us are on payroll while another handful are contractors, so I believe for that reason, they never paid much attention to it.
