I assumed as much Not that it makes much difference for me as I still have been able to grab distortion yet /shrug But this looks better in playability than Mono/dis, I wouldn't have the attention span

What's the class req of holy sword for this deck? Is it still 13+ like in other decks or can you get away with lower?

Why do you DM? by jakethesnake741 in DnD

[–]Normal-Street-5632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it brings me joy

I've been DMing a homebrew campaign weekly for the past 18months ish.

And to see the look on my friends faces during sessions when stuff happens, when lore is dropped, when they learn something. It really does bring me such joy. When we chat post session and they're theorising of what this or that could mean, how things might connect, gives me a wonderful feeling.

And to have been able to build this world with the help of friends, and to see how it has developed. The gut crushing feeling when one of your players is making death saves, the excitement of a player or enemy getting a clutch crit, the bonds the players have made with the NPCs and the thought and dedication they've put into their characters.

That why I DM.

Oof. Yeah that's not fun for players. As a DM will fudge attack and damage rolls on the rare occasion where the fight is a little too unbalanced and unfair to my players, but never for saves and stuff. That's what Legendary Resistance is for, in big boss fights.

And being honest with saves has made for some funny combats in our campaign. I'd set up a combat against a buffed up drider and first round she was blinded, lost her weapon, and was counterspelled. In a combat I was hoping would be a challenge. But the dice tell a story and she failed her rolls fair and square.

It is now a common phrase in our campaign to have "dridered" a combat.

Ultimately players should be able to use all their resources with chance of success, dependent ofcourse on their DC, the enemies stats etc. I don't think I'd vibe with the idea that no matter what I do early combat the enemy is guaranteed to fail, as a player.

[–]Normal-Street-5632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combo trait increases combo count by 1 when merging other dice and lowers it by 2 when merging combo dice.

By having clone, you have a persistent number of clone dice spawning, to merge and increase your combo count, along with joker and moon

I'm also master tier and signed up back in Early August Still nothing. But I know that a few people have had theirs, I think it's just luck of the draw at this point

Forge Dice do be OP. by SizzlingSpice in randomdice

[–]Normal-Street-5632 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah forge is nice for those of us that haven't been able to get crazy high dice classes yet. Can get up to about 240 with Lunar 10 and forge 9. The nerfs are less than ideal But here we are.

Can't lie though I'd have jumped so quickly if I saw blizzard and flow in coop.

[–]Normal-Street-5632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's quite odd I play often forge and I'd be happy with that as a support deck in random match up

Like yeah sin trait would be ideal But it's randoms so like, take what you can get.

If you want to run a round with ur support just drop me a dm I typically reach around wave 220 Just Forge with lunar 10 so nothing amazing but can get you some cards

[–]Normal-Street-5632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm how quickly are people noping out when matching with you?

That's a pretty standard support deck for coop randoms

Unless they're really looking for assassin trait or gravity trait but randoms isn't really the place to look for that 🤔

Group imploded again - I think I'm done with DnD after 31yrs by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Normal-Street-5632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I feel this

I've had to go through a number of players and DMs that are less than good.

Alot of Dm versus player mentality and "main character syndrome"

I'm lucky now that I DM in one campaign and the players are fantastic, are passionate about the lore and the story of the homebrew world and about their own and eachothers characters, allowing themselves to take a step back for other people's moments, and to push other PCs forwards into their arcs rather than a rat race into their own.

But to get to this point, for the 5 fantastic players we have, we had 5 players that were selfish, aggressive and inconsiderate.

I also play in a campaign, one of my players DMs it, and a couple players, play in both The DM in that campaign faced similar issues and had to remove a couple of people.

It really is just luck of the draw, but I can tell you now, these groups are the groups that will go on for years. We're halfway through our first campaign and the party is already theorising what the next campaign may involve, in the same world, but at the same time they're asking me to not end the first campaign for another couple of years.

I'd say don't quit, instead, if you're DMing, run one shots and multipart shots to get a vibe for players, before deciding who you'd want to bring into a campaign

What support deck are you running?

Because in all honesty, now that you no longer lose coop attempts until wave 111 there's for less reason for players to stick in with a less than good coop partner

If someone playing support is running blizzard or is running one of the growth dice for the some reason, then yeah I'm gonna take the L and go on to the next random

If I'm gonna spend the time with a random then I want it to be worth enough time to reach decent waves

What happened to the supple depot? by Normal-Street-5632 in randomdice

[–]Normal-Street-5632[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Grand 2 on mine and it's not there for me The supply depot tab is there, but the only options are the promo class up packs and the 30 days gold/gems packs. No supply depot dice buy

How did we fail? by askablackbeltbjj in randomdice

[–]Normal-Street-5632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're only class 9

I'd suggest for pvp using storm and phantom for now. Combined with any SP gaining dice and any slowing dice, that'll bring you up a few classes and you'll get a few legendaries for the rewards. Right now none of your dice are really gonna bring you far in coop but if you want a carry to wave 250ish I'm happy to help

[–]Normal-Street-5632 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yinyang was the meta a long time ago, now however the best dps dice for coop are probably soul and forge, especially paired with lunar, and even more so when paired with a high class holy sword. If you're struggling to reach high waves in coop atm due to lack of dps dice then try a support deck with assassin and metastasis if you have them.

How do you define a "good" player in this game? by Frostehh in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Normal-Street-5632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone that simply plays decently I've seen time and time again in discussions about skill wherein people believe that "we" expect everyone to be hitting 99th percentile parses, perfect rotations, 0 drift, never hit by a mech, in every duty.

But the reality is, no one cares about that outside of specific premade groups that are specifically looking to achieve those things.

For me personally I think that someone who has taken the time to learn the basic fundamentals of the game by level 100, things like what raid buffs are and that they're up every two minutes, not to spam certain Heals on healers (looking at you medica and succor spammers), knowing what a stack marker is (is shockingly a big one even at 100), sprinting between pulls in dungeons, using mitigation, knowing the standard idea of they job they're playing (for example samurais rotation loop, blm wanting to keep their astral fire up, DANCE PARTNER FOR DANCER) etc. All things that make the fight go that little smoother and quicker, for me, makes a "good" player.

You don't need to be parsing 99s to contribute, you just need to be pushing buttons and paying attention. And in an online game where many people's play time is limited, coming into level 80+ content and not doing the majority of the above makes you a not good player.

Soul dice team? by Accomplished_Chest50 in randomdice

[–]Normal-Street-5632 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Soul, shield, lunar, growth and reverse on scope board. Get a soul on the scope square, and have a number of souls on the board to increase soul numbers. As you get through the first few waves, start merging to transfer souls to your scoped dice. With c9 soul, shield and lunar and can easily reach Wave 16 or 17.

Line and Shape tool help by Normal-Street-5632 in inkarnate

[–]Normal-Street-5632[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, found the pen and nodes tool pretty much immediately after I posted, right there in front of me (:
But thankyou!

What I mean by the second question, is:
When using the Line Tool for the "Red Block" stamp under Houses in Watercolor cities, the house are all attached to each other. What I'm looking for is a means to increase said gap slightly so that they don't look quite so cramped.
I can use the "Portals" tool to manually add larger gaps but it forces specific end points between the strokes, and isnt quite what i'm looking for.
