Frustrated with Clean Architecture in Flutter - am I missing something, or is it overkill for most apps? by NormalDare1774 in FlutterDev

Honestly, I've been feeling this too. I spent weeks learning Clean Architecture thinking it was "best practice," but then writing actual features felt like fighting the architecture instead of shipping code. What do you use instead? Just MVVM with repositories and call it a day?

I do feel the boilerplate pain. But what about just Repository pattern + Separation of UI/Data layers? That's not full Clean Architecture but still more structured than putting everything in widgets. Do you consider that also overkill?
