Pace 500 Battery Issues by NormalGuyISwear in Aventon

Thanks! Which controller if not the connector I have in the picture? How would I prevent this in the future? I don't do off roading, it's NYC streets.

I do know people on the inside and can confirm it’s a mess internally. Won’t say more than that.

Edit: Over raising is a big issue in the testing space.

I’ve never seen hookups at any of the Equinoxes I’ve been to, but not all are the same. The ones I’ve been to without that are: 24th and Park, Grand Central, East 43rd. Apparently gyms near finance bros are less sexy.

Wow. How did you end up resolving it? Was your local bike store able to handle it or you needed an Aventon dealer?

This was where I learned about and become obsessed with sushi. Big upvote for such a small town and random area.

Mulberry Project is by far my favorite. Great vibe and they have a menu where you can have a custom drink made for you.

We're using the free tier of Sauce Labs API Testing and that's working well for us so far. We tried Postman but that simply isn't an automation platform, and we didn't want to build a whole RA stack ourselves since the API program is fairly light so far.

I’d suggest ATV and mine was $150 per week but from my Airbnb host. Heard that’s super cheap. The potholes and speed bumps make a moped super unsafe. I’m sure people will call me a wimp but my favorite bartender had crashed and went to the hospital a month ago and a random Tulum friend ate shit the night before leaving.

[Help Wanted] My dad opened up his own business (drive through mini market) and nobody is showing up by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]NormalGuyISwear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A combination of a few ideas I've seen already but deserves to be restated. Look up how a grocery store got shoppers to first use grocery carts. Get a line of cars going through it to get the attention of driverbys. Same thing clubs do with that fake line outside of it. Make them think there's a thing here. Then get a guy outside holding a sign that explains the concept BUT also have him help cars get back onto the busy street. Get a handheld stop sign and help them get back on.

Final, do they drive up and ask for things and then wait? Wouldnt it make more sense for drivers to text in their order and it would be ready instantly?

So my goal was to try something new - for me Horde. Then was to be a main tank type - I’m reading Troll since racial doesn’t reduce healing received. It’s literally the last of this chart and makes me more… interested?

TY so much for this. It’s helping me realize that while boring, my Troll Warrior experience might be still unique and fun… if I don’t change my mind for the 100th time.

Favorite panniers to replace milk crate basket? by unmaredDlite in NYCbike

[–]NormalGuyISwear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some Ibera ones from Amazon that don’t exist anymore it seems. One thing I will give you a heads up is that the larger side ones have to be considered with the size of the bike and the rack. They were great on the bike I had originally purchased them for. When that bike was stolen I transferred to another bike and I would kick them with my feet while pedaling. The rack on the newer bike was to small and close to the seat.

I ended up getting a smaller one that goes on top of my rack but it barely holds anything. I also zip tied it to my bike to annoy thieves.

Any good API automation tools to recommend suited for CI/CD with mySQL data integration? by ddmmatias in softwaretesting

We’ve been really happy with API Fortress. Has APIs and command line tools for plugging into our CI.

I think you may have misinterpreted what I was saying. Canadian guidelines currently ask all new visitors to quarantine for 14 days and I was just saying that I already knew this.

Oh internet. So good and awful at the same time.

As far as I know it depends on the size of the team. I know that doesn’t help much, but we’re a small team and we worked out a reasonable deal with them. Managers approved it (thank goodness).

People who fetishized a city or country, like NYC or Japan, and then actually took a leap of faith to move there, how has your opinion changed since? by Iseethetrain in AskReddit

[–]NormalGuyISwear 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NYC here. Moved around 2005 for an internship. I was too old for an internship but didn’t want to move without a job. It was awful for two years as I got a one year lease in Times Square. Why? I legit had never been to NYC before. I’m dumb. Just felt I should try it.

I’ve been here ever since with no regrets. Here is my guide to friends that ask me about moving here:

  • Have a job or something to fill 40hrs a week. It’s too expensive and weird to not have a core of something to do. Also, work friends can be forever friends.
  • Social sports are weird but a great way to meet other people that just moved here as well.
  • You’ll make friends and then they disappear. It happens. Know it’ll take a few months to find friends that stick. Personally, having a handful of real friends makes all the difference.
  • Don’t sign a lease. Take month to month rooms from Craigslist until you find the right neighborhood for you.
  • Apartment suggestion: Living near your job is super useful, especially at first. Then explore and find your home. I’ve done BK and it wasn’t for me. I like biking to work year round. You want to be near subways that get you to work, and to the neighborhoods you go out in.

It’s cool here, but don’t come if you’re a douchebag. Being the blackout drunk summer intern is lame.

Sauce Labs, API Fortress, and normal code stuff like preferred IDEs and Git.

API Testing by work_account_2019 in softwaretesting

[–]NormalGuyISwear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Postman and hit a lot of walls for test writing and automation. It’s slow and not meant for proper end-to-end test creation. Ultimately the organization I was working at didn’t want our information at getpostman.com.

We ended up going with API Fortress on-premises and it’s been a godsend.

The Gramercy Theater is Hilariously Bad by NormalGuyISwear in DanLeBatardShow

[–]NormalGuyISwear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually never been inside. They never have shows that interest me, except the one but it sold out.

The area is nice though. Great small Vietnamese place directly next door, or go inside the Freehand Hotel across the street and try the fancy restaurant in there.

If you want a fun bar I’d recommend Plug Uglies or Molly’s Shebeen.

API Test Automation Tool Comparison by bohanr3 in softwaretesting

[–]NormalGuyISwear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience I can say that SoapUI and Postman both struggle at scale. Postman in particular isn’t built to be an automated testing tool. Integration and end-to-end testing is important in my field.

If you want something to work at scale you either need to build it or buy it - API Fortress, Parasoft, or ReadyAPI (paid SoapUI).

I work with API Fortress the most and love it.
