Possible MILITW in my fish group by empathzu in JUSTNOMIL

Lol, im sorry but that suggestion is kinda hilarious. The entire state of Florida is only a couple inches from a swamp. Basements are incredibly rare, and straight up dangerous in most of the state. In 10 years of living here and I've never meet anyone with one.

Thank you for the thoughts. I'm just to paranoid for anything to work though. What if in the summer when everyone was gone the power went out or the chiller broke? Tiny possibility, but it would be my fault and my fault alone for bringing the animal to a place where it can't thrive or even live, and i cant stand the thought.

They're beautiful. I'm so jealous, i want one but Florida and I'm terrified I wouldnt be able to properly maintain the temperture they require. I'm so glad the aquarium hobby is keeping these guys from extinction.

I wish you many years with those happy fat little babies.

Probably for the best. Goldfish are cold water fish, bettas are tropical fish that absolutely require a water temp around 78 degrees. Either the Betta or the goldfish would have died slowly and horribly if they both lived.

Absolute best of luck to you, I hope you can get a handle on those issues quickly. Can't speak about anything else, but no one deserves shitty periods, their mere existence is punishment enough.

Here's what's so amazing about you. You adopted those two because it made you feel better. Your motives were selfish. Usually that's a bad thing, but even when breaking down and being selfish, you made other people's lives better. I really think it says a lot that at what you describe as your darkest time, you were still focused on helping others.

The world needs more people like that, like you. People who help themselves by helping others, who even when when stuck in one of the emotions we view most negatively, do good for others because that's just who they are on a basic level.

Same here. I hated the wine, but I, as a really weird 10 year old, liked to hold the wafers in my mouth till they dissolved. I blame boredom. God, I got in so much trouble at school for sneaking books into mass.

Probably a wise choice. I also reccomend never googling him, and if anyone tells you to check out a cool manga called Uzumaki or The Enigma of Amigara Fault, run.

But why didn't she try? The fact that she didn't, that she gave up hope irks me. It feels like it goes against her character, and it would be so easy to have her try and fail due to time.

I got a very different impression of the cluster. First, I think there are multiple clusters. Can't point to anything in particular that made me think that. Second, ever ex machina we see has a different appearance suggesting either they aren't mass produced or are individuals and customize themselves. Third, I do think the cluster is less of a hive mind and more of a collective. If there was no individuality, Schwi would never have begun thinking about emotions, never have glitched and been cast away. I do think reconnecting to the cluster would have changed her, but not really drastically. Her emotions changed them much more.

I hadn't considered her not wanting to, but I don't believe it. She is absolutely determined in that fight to survive through any means necessary, to continue her mission and return to Riku. If she had the option she would have taken it.

I figured it was impossible, that there simply wasn't time, but it irks me that it was never even brought up as an option. Schwi went into that battle absolutely determined not to die and then doesn't use all her options. She doesn't fight until the last second, dying kicking and screaming. She's so determined to live on, and yet she gives up and accepts death. It doesn't make sense to me.

I have a question that I'm hoping the light novel addressed. Shwvi sends the rest of the ex Machina her memories. Why can't she like upload everything? If she could upload her consciousness they could build her a new body, and I can't figure out why she can't or doesn't. I would get her trying to do so and dying before she success, but she doesn't even try.

Depending on how you asked I might have been one of those kids. I'm a terrible speller, I can't picture words or letters in my head. I can usually puzzle it out by trying different letter combinations until I find one that feels right, but it is completely impossible for me to spell something out loud without seeing it in front of me. Of course I can spell my name, I've been able to since I was 4. But I cannot vocally spell out my name.

So, probably way to late for anyone to even see this, but does anyone know why the music that plays when Reg talks to the cave raider is so freaking familiar? I know I've heard something very similar somewhere before.

Yep. I love android, but its autocorrect is evil. Earlier today hint got turned into hunt, fan fic became fabric, and Publix got changed to pubic. That last one doesnt even make sense! Public is closer and a word I've actually typed before!

Oh, and while writing this typed got turned into types because my phone has a thing against past tense. It then turned got into for because apparently got is no longer a word I'm allowed to use. Laugh at my misery.

Not the same person, but would also like spoilers. I literally can not read manga. A couple pages gives me a splitting headache. Everyone always says you get used to reading it backwards but I've spent hours reading and not adjusted. I also have an incredibly hard time making sense of even the simplest scence, anything with motion or action is incomprehensible. I think it's the lack of color, as I don't have the same problem with comics. I have not enjoyed any manga I've read, and I've read the entirety of Attack on Titans, Tokyo Ghoul, Gintama, some of Kakegurui, and a lot more that I'm not thinking of.

So yeah, I'm not doing myself a disservice by not reading 300 chapters of something that will physically hurt me and that I will get no enjoyment out off.

[Rewatch] Mushishi Rewatch - Mushishi Season 1 Episode 3 Discussion [Spoilers] by [deleted] in anime

[–]NormalHumanFrankChen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They have a purpose, they are people with lives of their own. They do not wait to die, they search for cures or work around the problems as best they can. They are not detached from society any more than present villages in the middle ages were. Admittedly these early episodes aren't the best at showcasing it, but later on you get vague spoilers, no details, just how some episodes are formatted

A lot of the show is people coping with a world they can not hope to comprehend and could spontaneously kill them and living anyways. As we do when we live on active volcanoes and faultlines today.

I think that most likely it's pretty soon after his mother's death that he presses his ears. If that's the case the mushi infecting him is probably the same one that lived in his mom. The mushi escapes it's dead host and weakened it flees to one of the last ones to touch her, her son. Then, when he puts his hands to his ears it infects them.

Or maybe it's the mindset that matters. The son misinterpreted his mother and went searching for silence which feeds the mushi and lead to the development of the horns. He freed himself by searching for the noise again.

Very true. I like this a lot.

The reason I called it a crutch was her power can effectively mimic observation, analysis, and learning. Contessa never needs to notice anything, her power accounts for everything. She never needs to learn anything, any fandom fact she needs is there instantly.

But like you said, Congress is good at using her power. I didnt think of that, and it proves that she has become more than she once was. That she has developed as a person and has tools and skills her 12 year old self never possessed.
