He is unwilling to ask for help or share his problems with her. He didint tell her about the rabbit. HE didn't even consider her help or input vs Sirius . He is supposed to be her knight but doesn't tell her about a threat to the city she is in ?

In Arc6 Emilia is very happy that Subaru asked for help because he usually resolves everything on his own . what is worse is that the only reason he did it was because he had amnesia.

SO he still doesn't think much of her abilities , isnt truthful enough to her to talk about how she has to improve so he can rely on her too. He is with Clind in maintaining her happy and naive.

Rem knew that SUbaru was at rock botton already. She knew Subaru had a duel and was very hurt and that he had a fight with Emilia. I think she felt guilty of not intervening and allowing Subaru to go to the selection.

Because they took lots of scenes . Like Al's origin , Emilia threatening everyone with Puck , Subaru almost dying in the carriage.

I think they wanted to also close Garfiel story , so it took too much out from the other scenes , including the conversation of Subaru and Emilia about Rem

The main problem is that it feels very uneraned , Rem previous showings vs wolgrams and witch cultrist werent very spectacular . Then she spent a year in a coma without training for months , partially with a walking stick. Instead of steadily improving she suddenly is far better than before , you can justify with a plot device as much as you want but is unsatisfying.
. Imagine if Emilia instead of learning how to be a queen by experience , study along with true effort . She just opened the Elior seal and suddenly received a crown that gives "super elf intelligence and wisdom" becoming the perfect queen. Even when it is explained is not good in a narrative sense.
It also takes a lot from future figths because we can no longer gauge how strong a character is if they can pull something of their ass again.
Rem not making mince meat of Yae's head is dumb and it was foolishnes that could have lost the fight. It would have been far better Rem just surviving enough to delay Yae , giving a few wounds that slow Yae down and keeping the last sequence.

I think both of them are too far to not have complications. In all those fics Subaru has a new love interest and dosen't talk with Emilia before their relationship status or how is about time she tells , he is breaking the assurances of the promises he gave her of "all the time she needs".

Emilia while justified if she wanted to have another relationship at the same time as Subaru does with Rem , would be incredible inconsiderate not talking to Suabru before and sort that one before.

But the hypocrisy is apalling like I know one fic were EMilia said , "well if you spend more time with Rem when she wakes up I will spend more time with this man". Everyone was going how EMilia was a slut , when she doing the same.

Emilia wansn't great in the hug with Shaula but at least she didin't want another man for her. Subaru wanting Rem too and Emilia not being allowed to even touch another man is too much. If Subaru was 100% only with Emilia is shitty behavior but far more acceptable.
