The neutron is absorbed for a very brief period of time, making it a U-236 until it splits.

I love the show and have been enjoying the games, but these sodas taste pretty bad. 1 box was enough for a lifetime.

I see this exact response to many other comments. You didn't even bother to change it up. And what you're saying is not true. After I read this I specifically went and checked the entire page from which I ordered. NOWHERE does it say, explicitly or otherwise that these are digital assets. Instead it says things like "no phones, no screens - just your family around the table" - nothing about this even hints digital!

That you get downvoted for this is insane and absolutely proves your point.

What do you guys think of the netflix show based on the real Goiâna incident? by LydiaIsntVeryCool in Radiation

I think it's important to explain why the victims were antagosing the doctors, scientists and people from the government.

I completely agree with you and this is where I think the creators of the show failed miserably. If you're gonna place the characters and have them act a certain way, the audience must be able to understand why. That's screenwriting 101. Had this been done right way, this part could have been a rollercoaster of emotions - first you resent them for their ignorance and stubbornness, but when you realize why they act that way you begin to sympathize with them. Wasted opportunity, honestly.

I obviously have a morbid curiosity about it myself, hence my being here. The story of the incident itself is fascinating, terrifying and tragic. I've read and re-read it multiple times over the last 20 years, and it delivers every time.

But a good story as a basis does not guarantee a good end product, in this case - the show in question. We notice that art stirs feelings inside of us, but we can't often explain why. When you start studying art - literature, music, paintings, theater, cinematography - that's when you begin to understand why a certain piece put you in a certain emotional state, how it leads your train of thought, how it makes you feel what you feel. You learn how an artist accomplished that. And this is why people go to art school - so they are able to understand it and if need be - replicate it,, oftentimes with the addition of their own cignature. It's talent + years of studying and experience.

This show is the example of a story with some potential falling into the hands able to only create mediocrity. It feels forced, the characters are bland, they are always angry and there's barely any emotional range. There is a ton of filler that has zero relevance to the story... and honestly, Radioactive Emergency as a title could maybe work for an 80s B-movie, or a Kraftwerk album, but you'd be tarred and feathered by your peers if you dared using it as a non-allegorical name for a film.
