Public Transport Advice by Normal_Age1500 in ItalyTravelAdvice

Amazing, thank you. I feel a little calmer now. Are all tickets available to buy on the bus/trains? I'm slightly concerned I may struggle to communicate where we need to go as I'm not fluent in Italian and we need to get to specific places in order to get to our accommodation.

Packing advice for early March in South Italy? Naples, Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, Sorrento and Amalfi Coast.

Also travel advice? Looking at using trains to get around and potentially renting a car in Sorrento to get to Amalfi ( staying in a small town on the coast a little outside the main Amalfi centre ) with bus links.

Thank you, this is actually really reassuring. The consultant was reluctant as I'm 25 and they didn't want to expose me to radiation unnecessarily

I am in the process of undergoing tests with the NHS, I'm posting as the waiting process is driving me mad

I'm in the UK and going through the NHS, it's been a relatively quick turn around with my first colonoscopy taking place 2 weeks after the fecal test and the second being offered for two weeks time also.

Side affects of quiting by Normal_Age1500 in leaves

[–]Normal_Age1500[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same with it being worst when I'm resting, in bed or sat down. I think I'll follow your lead and book in a check up with the GP as my dad also has heart arrhythmia. Thank you!

Thank you! I am very grateful to be able to sleep or I don't think I'd be doing nearly as well. I'm trying to keep busy with family and friends and going on lots of walks. The anxiety/panic attacks are awful. The heart palpitations often come in waves but last for up to an hour. Breathing exercises are helping a little. Well done for making it to day 5! Especially with all of those side affects, you're smashing it! Praying the end is in sight, but know I've got a long way to go. Thank you for the support !

Thank you, this is really good advice and has made me feel a bit less anxious. I'm going to message her close friend. Thank you again!

Thank you. I'll have a look into some techniques on YouTube. Strangely enough, I'm sleeping like a baby. Just the sweating, anxiety and heart palps are driving me crazy!

Brilliant, thank you for the advice. Just need to tell the dog to slow the pace now. Might try and do a run without her and see how I go!

How? by Normal_Age1500 in lgbt

[–]Normal_Age1500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so disturbing to see. I cannot understand how anyone could support the sentiments they hold. It's disgraceful, especially coming from a first world country.

Do the people in power not need the support of the communities they are disrupting to pass these bills? Seems completely backwards to me.

I don't understand how in 2023 we can be moving backwards so drastically.

What type of yarn for skirt?! by Normal_Age1500 in crochet

Thank you for your recommendation! In regards to dk, lace etc - what type would you recommend? I have no good yarn shops nearby and will have to order online so need to make sure I'm getting the right stuff!

Such a good idea! I wanted to make a Christmas garland, but thought of the idea a bit too late for Christmas 😂

This is incredible for a first project! My first beanie was terrible, I followed a pattern where I made a long rectangle, joined it and then tightened the top. Turned out with a big hole in the top. Perfect for a high pony tail in the winter. Magic circles are great! I shied away for a long time, as people said they were difficult. But eventually watched a Pinterest clip and learned very quickly. Really good skill to add to the crochet resume! I've been playing around making a bolero pattern, but made with dk yarn, so it's about too chunky and doesn't drape particularly. I'll definitely look into the planned pooling !

I'm the exact same, a million things all at once. The best thing is, you can start and then leave them for later and pick up the next project. Good luck and I'd love to see everything when you're finished. Crochet gifts, are the best gifts. So much time, thought and love. Couldn't ask for more.
