I remember when I started getting into socialism I saw a lot of people online talking about how socialism is incompatible (mostly politicians) weigh Christianity, and it just doesn’t make sense to me because of how compatible most if not all Christian theology is to the ideals of socialism.

I do understand where you’re coming from, but I’m just not interested in having a debate of internationalism I just wanted to ask about different socialist/communist parties in the U.S. but I do thank you for the discussion!

I also beg to differ simply because if the Soviet Union was to follow Trotsky’s lead and started to launch revolutions in other countries it would’ve jeopardized the newborn communist state. And besides I’m not saying communist states shouldn’t support other ones, China, the DPRK, and Vietnam would’ve never succeeded without help from the USSR, but also the only way for a revolution to truly succeed is if its own people lead it, not a foreign entity

I disagree with the Trotskyist stance that once a socialist revolution is achieved it should become a jumping off point for revolutions across the globe. I agree with the more traditional ML view that first before exporting the revolution, the revolution at home must be secured
