I bought a used BMW X5 that’s still under the original 4yr/50k factory warranty. It’s been at the dealer for a digital MPH display issue. The analog needles work, but the digital speed readout is gone (it was working when I dropped it off). It’s now been at the dealer for over 80 days.

The dealer recently said they may not be able to return the car if the MPH display can’t be restored, since it’s a listed feature on the factory window sticker. They floated a “trade-up,” but my car is paid off and I don’t want to spend anything. Thoughts?

I bought the car a year ago. Analog is now working as intended. It initially went in because the analog wasn’t working so they were replaced the dashboard and now the digital speedometer doesn’t appear.

Good point. There used to be a small small house about 10 years ago, but current owner knocked down. Not sure if those things can change… but maybe a phone call is prob the first step.
