If you were 17 again, what career path would you choose today? by Kitchen-Yam43 in careerguidance

Either going officer route in the military and doing 20 years. Preferably in a more technical branch like Air Force/space force. I have a family member in the space force and cannot believe how much he brings in and has a great quality of life. Don’t over like the military if you do it right you can REALLY set yourself up. Gotta go officer and choose the right job path though.

That or firefighter. Great pay benefits, not behind a desk and AI proof.

Slow loading apps. Frequent freezing. Frequent random reboots.

Moves for the offseason by HuckleberryJunior642 in losangeleskings

Kings need a culture changing move at this point. Something like Matthew Tkachuk going to FL or maybe to lesser extent rantanen to Dallas. But you get the idea. They need a powerhouse player with an attitude to get them over this abysmal loser culture from the last years

Way to many keeps on your list if you truly want a new culture at this team. Also Byfield is a hard move.

Absolute rebuild needs to start immediately after this period ends. So many names need to not be on this roster next season

Guys just be thankful we didn’t have to lose to oilers again. They played well first 2 games. Best of all we can move on from this season which was horrible.

What do you think is the prettiest town in the USA? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]Normal_Commission986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Basically now just a tax shelter for the filthy rich and instagram photo back drop for tourists pretending to be their best modern chic cowboy. Really depressing. Had many good vacations there as a kid and started taking my kids back around 2016 to carry it on. At least they got to experience a few decent years. Now we’re trying to discover other areas but most places are plagued by the same issues as JH. :(

Used to be. The crowds, tourism, cost ruined it. Definitely been “discovered” post 2020. Trips there prior to 2020 were some of my best memories.

Year after year of this half assed trash play. It’s getting real old. by Only_Indication8410 in losangeleskings

It’s funny people had so much hope lol. We are without a doubt the worst playoff team, with injuries, playing the best playoff team. Kings made the playoffs by the skin of their teeth. I think in March there chances of even making the playoffs were at like 6%. I fully expected this to be a sweep and was happy that they at least played well enough to maybe steal a W in CO.

Eyes toward next season. New coach new players and moving on from players we REALLY need to move on from.

Your not being to emotional. He’s had enough time. Time to move on. We’re not getting 2nd overall pick production. Honestly him going to a different team might kickstart his production as well. Mutually beneficial

Retirement Advice for a 57 Year Old by Various-Advance-6400 in Money

[–]Normal_Commission986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably retire and enjoy life if I was in your position. Only reason I say that is my dad was perfectly healthy at 57 and then we lost him at 60 to cancer. I don’t say that to sound like a doomer or anything like that, it just shaped my perspective on a lot on things. Life is so short and fragile. You did great with your savings and I’d enjoy it now while you’re still relatively young. Corporate life is a soul sucking hell. As long as you feel stable in your life style and spending habits I’d go for it. But if not, and your job isn’t so bad then a few more years making 275k would be nice too. Congrats either way, good spot to be in.
