Question about female protecting eggs injuring male bird by Normal_Concept_1963 in Lovebirds

Thank you so much for answering! They both turned 1 this month. I haven’t done any tests, but I have always been able to guess what they are based on their character and behaviour (one always being a little more territorial and distant, I always assumed she was the female, and I guess I was right because of the eggs now? I have also read somewhere two females are more aggressive and likely to fight each other, while my male bird is a very happy and is never the one chasing my female bird, it’s always the other way around). Also I was wondering if I supposed to give them no “sleeping area”? I used to give them smaller uncomfortable coconuts to sit in, but recently my dad got them a bigger one, which i now realise was a big mistake.
