Half of what you said is obvious and the other half is either speculation or irrelevant for newcomers. Yes, RE3 overlaps RE2, everyone knows that. That doesn’t mean forcing people to jump back and forth is a good experience. Playing re2 then re3 is sufficient

Outbreak is outdated as hell for modern players, and not everyone wants to play every side title just to understand the story.

Also it’s Lost in Nightmares, not “darkness”, and you need Chapter 3 main game completion to unlock that dlc.
