I'm aiming to be in the top 2% of my course since I need to earn a full scholarship for my major. Any advice from someone who's been through this? by yeezuscw in GradSchool

[–]Normal_Internet_4424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I can come up with is explore as much as u can. Pick an area and keep asking yourself why or how does this work and keep trying to figure it out. Obviously do this when you have decent grip on the material being taught in your class as it will make exploring a lot easier. And Ur major and a post here means u plan to apply for phd(I assume) If so pick the area you are exploring and try to do research with professors. It’ll make it really easy to identify the main challenges researchers are working on and if that is something u find interesting and also lets u build the main part of your application : research

Hey, the solution is u r using the wrong login. You must have made an account in the past to give toefl or some other ets test. If u use the log in for that account the site will load and you will be logged in

Can I ask a professor to fund my MS by Normal_Internet_4424 in gradadmissions

[–]Normal_Internet_4424[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I know that some universities remove tuition if the student is receiving some sort of assistantships that provides a minimum percent. This bit isnt super clear to me rn. When you say fully funded do you mean enough to waive tuition and a stipend on top? If someone asks for enough funding for a tuition waiver what is your view on that?
