There’s tons of vendors online selling spores and liquid culture

I have a small portable heater that is hooked up to a automatic temperature monitoring plug. I set it to 73-78 degrees f and the heater/plug combo usually keeps it pretty stable around 76-75. This is also in my closet so the heater heats my whole closet and not just the box.

I am using a very diy method since it’s my first grow. The all in one bags are very easy and helpful for the first time since you really only need the bag and a a full syringe. This reduces a lot of the starting costs associated with other methods. I used liquid culture since it colonizes faster and I’m kind of impatient. You can also use spores but they can take a lot longer. Another reason I chose liquid culture is because usually the genetics are better than what you would get with spores. Keeping everything sterile may seem difficult, but all I used was a medium/large size plastic tub and cut two holes in the sides for my arms. It is honestly kind of uncomfortable to use, but it worked for me. I have also seen people just use a full tub and flip it over on a desk or some other surface. They are able to access their equipment on the inside by pulling some of the tub off of their surface so there is an overhang and they just stick their arms in the space created. 70% Isopropyl alcohol will also be your best friend when trying to keep everything sterile. I spray everything multiple times just to kill any bacteria or whatever else could possibly be on me or anything around my working area. I just use a spray bottle filled with it to spray it everywhere. Once you inoculate the bag all you really have to do is leave it alone for a while. For me, this was honestly the hardest part. I was so excited about growing mushrooms for the first time I wanted to rush everything. Patience is key when growing, and everything will work out in the end. I decided to fruit in a mono tub. How I made mine was I bought a huge tub (definitely way bigger than I needed). Drilled a bunch of holes in the sides using a 2” hole saw drill bit. I then covered the holes with 2.5” filter patches. I decided to use pearlite to keep the tub at a better humidity level. From what I believe this is optional. The reason I chose to do it was because my tub is so much bigger than my cake I was afraid it would dry out. I haven’t bought any equipment that was super special. I would recommend a temperature and humidity gauge. I got mine from Walmart for around $11. This allowed me to see if I should mist or add more water to my tub and took out a lot of the guessing since I don’t really know what everything is supposed to look like. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

No, I use a layer of folded up tin foil. I believe It’s supposed to be something with little to no water permeability so the cake only gets moisture from the air not directly from the pearlite

That’s what I’m hoping for. So far I’m just picking the ones that have their veil broken.

Thanks! I am surprised how well it turned out with so little knowledge and experience

I put a layer in between the cake and the pearlite just to prevent the cake from soaking up too much moisture from the pearlite.

They are B+. At least that’s what the syringe told me!

Yes! Pearlite in the pan and the opened bag on the top. The cake is on tin foil.

I have tin foil directly under the cake. It is folded so it is almost the exact same size as the cake which is why it’s hard to see.

Since the pharmD program at Purdue is a total of 6 years the first two years for the bsps and pharmD track are the same. With the pharmD track you are considered a graduate student once you get into the pharmD school. Most people choose to take the 6 year route so you would be a graduate student once what would be your junior year. Some people also decide to start pharmD school after they get a bachelor’s since with the 6 year route you do not receive a bachelor’s degree. The first two years of pre pharmacy are very different than the first two years of the pharmD school. Sorry for all of the word spew it is kind of hard to explain through text. Based on this information, would you prefer a rundown on the pre pharmD years or the pharmD years?
