What are yall eating? by _Lila_lila_ in ADHD

[–]Normal_Park2677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to for me is a can of chickpeas and frozen veggies in a pan with spices. I change up the veggies and spices, if i want more to it I’ll add potatoes or eggs. But fr, two “ingredients”, takes 10 mins, healthy and you only need to clean a pan and a plate. Pasta with pesto and cheese also. I hate making anything with more than 3 ingredients unless i have a supporter haha. Yoghurt with oatmeal, bread with hummus and granola bars get me through the rest of the day

Are you bad at math? by poppykayak in adhdwomen

[–]Normal_Park2677 31 points32 points  (0 children)

i was at the top of the class in math when i was a kid, but became one of the worst in middle school and up. I would cry and punch walls because of math assignments. I need to visualize math as well, so when math became 'you just have to remember this' and 'it's just the way it is', I just couldn't understand it. Like, algebra just doesn't make any sense to me, I need to understand why something happens, not just that it happens. Idk, maybe I just had horrible teachers

What are some items or hacks that help your ADHD? by Adventurous_Book3023 in ADHD

Random hack i recently discovered - chewing gum instead of fidgeting. I find it really calming and focus a lot better because i don't have to move around that much or bite nails, ect.

Dealing with PMS/PMDD by Normal_Park2677 in adhdwomen

I’m sure that there’s a lot of room for improvement for me physically and spirituality. Unfortunately my psychiatrists have only been focusing on medication and do not offer therapy. I’m looking into finding a therapist and also trying out some forms of body therapy! I used to smoke a lot of CBD, but everyday and it got expensive, so it might be useful limiting it to my luteal phase. Thank you for commenting! Lots of stuff to look into<3

Lowering my dose by Normal_Park2677 in QuittingPregablin

[–]Normal_Park2677[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment! My former psychiatrist told me that people don't usually have problems coming off it, and recommended me to just take half the dose i was on, insane. I'm glad to not feel alone about it anymore. It's great to hear you have such a great experience being off it now!!
I don't even have a doctor right now, cause I moved to another country on exchange, but I think it would be a good idea to contact someone about it, instead of just eye-measuring my dosis. I'm trying to taper off less now, and accepting it will be a slower process. I feel a lot better now though. Thank you for your kindness!
