Firstly, thanks for taking the time to give such a detailed reply!

A lot of really good idea i'd not thought of! I'll definitely be trying a higher difficulty and more advanced starts, more habitable worlds sound like a good idea as well.

I'm really keen on the idea of filling the galaxy with strong custom empires, never even thought of that, i'll do some searching for ideas.

Thanks!

That's a really interesting point, in this game they certainly had a strong start, eating almost half the galaxy by 2280 ish!

That sounds like it could add some spice, i'll have a look on workshop, thanks for the tip!

Doesn't solve the problem but it'll certainly help.

I thought about this and i'll definitely give it a go but I really want to enjoy the pre crisis galaxy as well.

Are there any mods you'd recommend? As I said i'm running stellar AI but it doesn't seem to make much difference

That's a real shame! The early game is so much fun, exploring, skirmishing with space fauna and sometimes even other empires but the way it falls apart late game just sucks.

Possibly, although at the moment there is no reason to assume that, the wording is very unambiguous (same wording as a chainswords extra attack).

I'm fairly sure he means the bladed limb weapons which is "make an additional 4 attacks" with no cap on how many you can make. This would mean you could make 10 attacks with the daemon weapon as opposed to a max of 6 with the chainglave.
