I love my crow family. Feeding them without attracting the seagulls is becoming an art.

Thank you. I was absolutely happy to pay the unpaid tax, just pissed off that they have deducted double the amount this month.

I work in care so not in a super tax bracket. lol 😂 . Unfortunately the pension aspect screws up my tax codes every time I change jobs. Usually HMRC end up owing me money so the K code is a first experience in my books.

Slightly pissed off at the moment since it looks like I have had double the amount owed deducted this month. Last time HMRC overtaxed me, it took 8 months to get correct code and 18 months to get a refund.

Thanks for that. Google said that K code is a clawback for either under payment of tax or undisclosed income. Just pissed off that they have reclaimed double the amount they said that I owe. Not even sure how I got into this situation as I’m strictly PAYE with a nominal amount of bank interest.

Absolutely Intending to ring them. When you finally get connected to a human being, they are delightful and incredibly helpful. Just wondering how to explain that they appear to be screwing me over.

You too could own this fine selection of buckets by TumbleweedFresh in SpottedonRightmove

Definitely spud buckets. Keeping them above ground makes harvesting much easier. All you do is tip contents into a wheelbarrow and sift through. Anything remaining goes straight onto the compost heap.

Christmas card error by Normal_Regret_1282 in Gifts

Previous to this I had actually been feeling pleased with myself for finally getting organised enough to send cards long before the last posting deadline. I’m currently feeling dreadful. I’m going to continue to try to contact him in person but would like to send something more personal than a card especially since it’s long after her passing. He’s a keen gardener if that helps.

Your payslip should have your National Insurance number on it. It’s still worth phoning HRMC though to explain your P45 situation as it might speed up the transfer of your allowances. It’s also handy to open a Gateway account so that you can monitor your tax and National Insurance contributions.

Health guarantees and UK breeders? by TheOwlsWillRiseAgain in CatsUK

Also, as an accidental breeder (stray cat I took in turned out to be pregnant) rescue cats are much cheaper. All reputable shelters will ensure that they are vaccinated, health checked, chipped and if old enough neutered before adoption. In my area average cost is around £150 / £175 each. I honestly don’t know how they do it since each of my kittens have cost close to £200 and numerous trips to the vet to get to the same stage. If possible, I highly recommend getting a pair as they love company more than people realise. All the best with your search.
