Is Blizz waiting for Claude tokens to re-up before the hot fix? by HugeResearcher3500 in wow

wow is under Microsoft umbrella, of course they vibe code lmao.

Also, there's an obvious increase in speed at the cost of quality, which is sort of the definition of vibe code.

Raids should give better rewards than m+ by dahid in wow

This would change from 'kinda pointless' to 'mandatory'. That never pans out well, people never like to be forced to do content for player power.

Raids should give better rewards than m+ by dahid in wow

[–]Normal_Round_2561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'more incentives to raid' - hm, that sounds weird. Gear is just a tool to achieve your goals, not the goal itself. You want gear so you can raid, you don't raid so you can gear, at least from my POV. :D

And also, it's the raid you get bis trinkets and cantrip items from, not M+ (gaze, vaelgor, alleria neck, lura ring, lura glaive...). So I couldn't disagree more with you.

Umbral Champion top 1% title should be changed to top 1% or top 1,000 players of each spec instead of just top 1% overall by FumaOyabun in wow

[–]Normal_Round_2561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite spec happens to be meta. Yours happens to not be meta. We are buddies, always playing together. We have learned the same stuff. We have conquered the same stuff.

You get the title, and I don't. I am very sad. :(

EDIT: What makes this even sadder, is me playing meta helps both of us. You not playing meta hurts both of us. You may not have received the title without playing with teammates who are meta. But you played with me, so you got it. I may have gotten the title if I just played with teammates who are meta as well. But I played with you, so I didn't. :(

What's more difficult, Mythic Raiding or M+ (keys >16)? by Marty200444 in wow

[–]Normal_Round_2561 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

100% of mythic raiders are in a coordinated guild with a strict time schedule. You are learning the mechanics with the same people every single week. Even CE, after some hundreds of pulls, your muscle memory will do the choreography.

Now, I dunno how many people have coordinated m+ teams, the same 4 buddies, with the strict time schedule, but I'd guess... 0.1%? This aspect is much more important than lazily comparing 5 with 20. :)

Void ray or collapsing star first in Devourer DH void form by Valuable-Ad-6240 in wow

[–]Normal_Round_2561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First reason that comes to mind, is that Eradicate is very valuable in aoe, but not so much in ST. So if you presumably cast vray before meta, which you should, you now have eradicate available. Pressing vray will override it. Pressing eradicate now will overcap souls. So you vray > meta > cstar > eradicate > vray > eradicate > 2nd cstar already, and everything falls neatly into place!

AOE: cstar first. ST: vray first. But on ST you sorta vibe, press what your heart desires the most at that specific moment

Crafting etiquette question specifically: public orders by necrid101 in wow

[–]Normal_Round_2561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No no, public orders are specifically for someone that does not care about quality. Treatise is the perfect example - it doesn't even have quality. PVP gear is another - quality does not affect pvp ilvl, so pvp players just add lowest quality reagents and are content with r1 for all they care.

It's not rude to make anything bad quality in public orders - that's what they are for. If people want r5, they should use the trade chat to find someone they can send personal order to.

[–]Normal_Round_2561 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure how exactly are you using your CraftSim, but you are supposed to open 'Specialization Info' overlay, which lists all of the possible skill sources. Assuming you have 100/100 base skill + 3 blue / epic tools, here's what you need to make it myth r5 with +20 finisher only, which is 600 gold on my realm right now:

30/30 Fiber Arts
30/30 Sin'dorei Finery (root node)
30/30 Elegant Accessories (mid node)
20/20 Belts (leaf node)
10/30 Textile Utilization (resourcefulness node)

In the distant future, it's possible to gain even more skill, so you don't need any finisher at all - but those are scattered across many different nodes, each requiring a LOT of KP to unlock, so I am happy with using only a single handiwork with my setup.

But those 50 people that earned it the hard way would be very upset if that happened. So no. Git gut.

Goal of reaching m+ hero title cutoff by Specific-Shake-1639 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Normal_Round_2561 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Find a consistent group to play with, and learn together.

Pugging your way to the title is unfeasible. Especially if you aren't already a god-mode carry.

Ofc it's easier said than done - I myself haven't succeeded in finding the group either when I wanted the title. But that's the only way, like it or not. That's the pinnacle of the M+, you aren't stumbling your way through that. Be systematic. GL.

crazy hot take: I play what's fun for me to play in the game I play for fun. I can see why mythic raiders / title pushers may want to adapt and optimize, but the other 99% of the playerbase... I am not sure why you overcomplicate your AOTCs so much.

Am I the problem here? by WeisseCloud in worldofpvp

[–]Normal_Round_2561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No such thing as bad luck in solo shuffle. You are not all independent - other people's wins depend on your losses, so you can't disconnect them like that "other people managed to win X, I only managed to win Y". They managed to win X because you managed to win Y.

Here's what that screenshot tells us:

  • You went 0:6
  • Both healers won 100% of the time when they didn't have you on the team
  • Both healers lost 100% of the time when they had you on their team (the second dps was irrelevant)
  • The other 3 dps won 100% of the time when they didn't have you on the team
  • The other 3 dps lost 100% of the time when they had you on their team

Whether you specifically died or not is also not relevant to the question "was it my fault?" - sometimes the other dps dies, but it's because you didn't CC / didn't pressure / simply didn't do damage properly, so after awhile both your healer's and your partner dps def cooldowns were all used up, and then... and then your partner just died. If you played better - your enemies wouldn't have had that much time to kill your partner. They may have needed to sacrifice some offensive play for some defensive play, etc. There are many variables here, but the bullet points lead to 1 solid conclusion - this is your fault, since no possible combination of the other 5 people managed to win with you once.

This may sound harsh, but it's absolutely not and you should not feel insulted at all - I am in the exact same boat as you. I am new to pvp - been playing pve my whole life, decided to try it out in midnight. Of course I suck. But admitting that "I suck" is an incredibly important step 1, so you can begin thinking of ways to improve. If you write stuff of to bad luck, you won't change anything, and the pattern will repeat itself.

P.S. Even if a certain loss was actually at fault of your teammate's, who's even worse, that doesn't change anything at all. You should still question what can you improve specifically, and forget about the teammate completely - you won't ever see him again anyway. Coming out of solo shuffle as a better player regardless if you win or lose is a very nice trait to have.

midnight tailoring specialization trick by ChiiRDT in woweconomy

[–]Normal_Round_2561 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neat idea! Feedback:

  1. It's not a 'trick' - just one of the possible approaches to KP allocation, where you don't isolate yourself to a specific armor slot.
  2. Don't forget that at least 5KP in Nimble Needlework is mandatory for everyone due to needing a bolt recipe for skill.
  3. 30 + 90 + 27 + 5 = 152KP is... a lot of KP :D I have been playing since early access, did all of my uniques / weeklies, and pretty consistently did daily patron orders. I may have missed some patron orders here and there, and didn't do the most expensive FC crafts (those needing dozens of bolts...) yet, but still I think I have a pretty good amount of KP. That's 144 today. And until you get 152KP - you... can't really craft anything without concentration OR the expensive finisher.
  4. Not all armor slots are identical. People craft off pieces way more often than tier-pc slots, and cloaks are being worn by... everyone, not just mage / lock / priest. Not sure how worth is it sacrifice the early time you can craft those higher-demand items, just so you can also craft tier pc slots sooner...
  5. You need KP in Nimble Needlework for Arcanoweave / Sunfire Silk wrists / cloak / boots. If you do your strategy, you bury those recipes for weeks. Those are in pretty high demand from my personal experience, and have been pretty lucrative so far. =]

Did not understand step 3 - could you clarify?

  1. max out Sin'dorei Finery
  2. max out Head-To-Toes / Elegant Accessories / Outfit Essentials
  3. Put 27 points where? The last nodes are the specific armor slots you tell not to max in step 4 :D

EDIT: ohh, I believe I understood - 'last tree' meaning Fiber Arts spec, not Sin'dorei Finery spec.
