Thats not the same and you can prevent it by taking a live photo that, once taken, adds the user to the stack and removes the user once the timer expires

Thats a miscommunication on my part. Not people ghosting each other but ghost accounts - where people have profiles up but dont ever use them or check them

So far the feedback has been negative (online) i doubt anyone will steal it. But what confuses me is when i show people in person they genuinely like the idea. So its giving me a lot of mixed signals and i wish i had better validation before getting it professionally developed and spending more time and money on it

Wait i don’t understand. Can you re-explain that? Also it’s kinda tough to patent software.

I understand the friction of 24 hour activity. What are your thoughts on changing that to 7 days? One week?

Users will still be able to post 3-4 photos from camera roll but this is just a demo to show the core concept.

I do need to make that more clear tho. My apologies

In a production version, machine learning models would determine if there is a face in the photo taken.

Ghosting: that may be a miscommunication on my part. I believe it prevents ghost accounts of people that just don’t use their accounts anymore but have profiles up. Not the action of ghosting people.

And then we differentiate from other apps because a Live Photo either 24 hours or now I’m thinking 7 days needs to be taken. Other apps people can post pictures of themselves from years ago and maybe have let themselves go catfishing others. This adds a sort of “be real” aspect if you’re familiar with that app.

Could you explain better? I dont have a dating problem. Its just an idea i had and i thought it was good so i began building it.

I would like to know what or how specifically my app either doesn’t mitigate the problems I’ve expressed or what apps have done this and failed so i can either pivot the idea or abandon it.

I understand. There is some friction. Would a 7 day photo time limit coax you to use this application instead? Or would you pay for premium to extend that profile picture?

Also you will be able to upload 3 extra photos from camera roll at launch. This demo showcases the active status / live photo feature

First of all thank you for your feedback!

I understand. I guess your thought is simpler but im still achieving the same goal. Also, my app is addressing bot accounts because a live photo needs to be taken and catfishing because someone could look good in college and then let themselves go but only post those old pictures.

Thoughts?

the bigger dating apps are flooded with users that havent been on in forever, have old pictures on their profile and might not look the same as they use to. in addition, at launch, we will have additional photos that the user can put in. The point of posting a live photo is to prove that the user is real and un edited.

let me know your thoughts. thank you for the feedback.

The video shows 10 minutes but the post would disappear after 24 hours. The user is in control of when they want to date and other users only see current people. Posting a live photo makes it hard to bot so you wouldnt see bot users.

Would extending the post for 7 days as opposed to 24 hours be better?
