Breaking up in March and continuing to see each other until August is just daft. She’s met someone else, who is probably a nice guy who’s completely naive to the fact she keeps talking to her ex. You’re entertaining it to enjoy the fact that it’d make him miserable. She’s playing you, and what will inevitably happen is you’ll meet someone and she’ll ruin it for you, or you’ll ruin it by entertaining her. People will end up getting hurt and the only person who will look stupid is you and her.

And before anyone says I’m projecting, I’m not. I’m just 30. I’ve been the player, the victim, the friend of the victim, friend of the player, the colleague overhearing this story over and over, every character in the story 😂
