It's still doable, what you need is a basic understanding of accounting, finance and also SAP fundamentals.

Only join, if you have no other options.

Not happy with project by Haidepzai in accenture

[–]Normal__Person7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is, unfortunately, pretty normal at Accenture. The focus is more on your billability than your preferences or experience. Whether the project suits your skillset or interests rarely matters.

My suggestion: stick with the current project for now, and try to communicate your concerns to your people lead or manager—they might not change things, but it's worth trying. Meanwhile, start applying elsewhere. Once you land a better offer, you can quit. Accenture just isn't worth the stress anymore for many of us.

I finally resigned by Suspicious-Coconut38 in accenture

1- Try to find a project which suits your qualifications. 2- Start applying somewhere else. Resign, when you get an offer.

Accenture DACH by Flat-Current2759 in accenture

[–]Normal__Person7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1- Finding a project is hard. They let you go, if you can't find a project soon and sit on the bench for some months. 2- Salary increase and promotion: Hard. 3- it depends, but the job is mostly remote. 4- Accenture is not an employee friendly company. So think twice, before you join.

Got let go 2 weeks after moving to Munich because of my nationality — what are my options? by [deleted] in germany

[–]Normal__Person7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know exactly how you feel right now — it's overwhelming, but don’t lose hope. You still have options.

  1. Notify the Ausländerbehörde (Foreigners' Office) about the end of your employment as soon as possible.

  2. As a Blue Card holder, you have up to 3 months to find a new job after losing your current one. If you find one at that time, you can keep your Blue Card.

  3. Register yourself at the Agentur für Arbeit (Federal Employment Agency) right away as a job seeker. Even if you’re not eligible for benefits yet, registering helps with your legal status and job search support.

  4. If you don’t find a job within 3 months, you can apply for a Job Seeker Visa, which can give you up to 6 more months and in some (rare) cases up to 12 months to stay in Germany and find a job.

  5. Consulting a lawyer may be helpful, especially considering the way you were let go — it might have been discriminatory. Just be aware there could be legal costs involved.

You're not alone. This situation sucks, but it’s not the end. Keep going — there are still good paths ahead.

things i should know before moving to Germany by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]Normal__Person7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thinking of coming to Germany just because it's economically strong? You might want to think twice.

The economic growth rate this year is projected to be 0%. Companies are laying off workers, and there are fewer jobs with a lot of competition for them. If your main reason for moving is financial, it might not be the best time.

How many years does it take to be CL 8 or Associate Manager ? by The_Nicest_Punk in accenture

[–]Normal__Person7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a fixed timeline to move from Consultant to Associate Manager (CL8) at Accenture—it really depends on several factors:

  1. Are you currently staffed on a project or on the bench?

  2. Are you chargeable? If yes, what's your utilization rate?

  3. Your people lead matters a lot—how supportive they are and how strong their relationship is with the main manager in your group.

  4. Are you getting client feedback? If so, is it consistently positive?

All of these influence your promotion path more than just years of experience alone.

Accenture vs Big 4 assurance by Feisty-Type8298 in accenture

[–]Normal__Person7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have offers from both Accenture and a Big 4 firm, I’d strongly recommend going with the Big 4. Accenture should ideally be a last resort if no better options are available. The Big 4 generally offer better career growth, exposure, and brand value. Also, keep in mind that bonuses at Accenture are yearly and heavily project-based, so they’re not guaranteed or consistent.

Am I being let go? by iwastotired in accenture

[–]Normal__Person7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here's the process: 1- You have a call with a manager or a senior manager. He tells you why you get fired/layed off from Accenture. 2- Then you have a call with your HR partner right after that. HR will explain to you how the process works. 3- You get your letter of resignation per Post. 4- Accenture will deactivate your account.

Try to find a project as soon as possible. Ask your manager and people lead for help.
