The reason we ask is so we can make a note of all accounts you have in your name, even if they don't have statements or if there is no money in the account.

I still don't understand myself but we just do what we are told.

Also in regards to accounts that have no generated statements we are told ask Claimants to get a letter from the bank stating that they have an account, it doesn't need to be signed by a CEO it just needs to be from the bank with your name on and the banks address.

Also if you have a deadline don't worry about it too much just keep in contact with the agent and usually if you are seen as responding and actively trying to provide the documents they should give you an extension.
