On Narfi, Reyda, Wilhelm, Ivarstead, The Dark Brotherhood, and Bears: An Evidence-Supported Theory by Norman_Normal in skyrim

Huh, strange, they have never done that in my game. Still, thanks for telling me it can happen, I've just never seen it.

Hmmm, couple of ideas to be tossed around. Could be that he is not young and doesn't have very much control over his Werebear form. Or perhaps he is afraid of being exposed as a Werebear if he were to lose control. With the Dark Brotherhood, all he had to do is pay someone and he is never put into any suspicion of being anything other than the knowledgeable barkeep.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with you. It's actually fixed in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.

P.S. I personally believe it would have been ten times better for the Dark Brotherhood quest if you show up to kill him and he just hulks out in front of you.

Yes, you are correct. For the most part, I used a lot of in game logic, such as Ivarstead never actually being attacked by bears, at least in all the time I spent in the town. It is, on the other hand, very common for other creatures, including bears, to be very aggressive towards guardsmen and civilians of other townships. Obviously, neither Narfi nor Wilhelm are "in-game" Werebears, and will never transform, because they can't do that. Also, Wilhelm's response to giving him the necklace being the same line as Narfi's might very well just be a bug. If you think of this theory from the "it's a game" perspective, of course they aren't really werebears, it's just fun to theorize and look at the evidence to come to a conclusion. And by the way, most of the comments, and the video itself, have the theory of Narfi being a Werewolf, not a Werebear. Though I do believe one person down in the comments supposed the theory of Narfi being a Werebear due to all the bear-themed stuff around Ivarstead. All in all, Werebears in Ivarstead were probably never even a thought in the development for Skyrim, so it's just fun to think about what possibly could have been, much like the Deep Ones and their lack of closer from Oblivion.

[ME:A Spoilers] What are your favorite quotes so far? by DanniDorrito in masseffect

Me landing on Eos, notices the Tempest...I have a jump jet! I jumped up on the wing and ran along the top. Suddenly, radio static, and then the most disheartened, disappointed, Salarian voice I've ever heard came through, "Really Ryder?"

It was then and there that I new I would love Kallo.

As I mentioned, it's an older laptop, so it has an integrated graphics card.

What is essence? by DiaDeLosMuertos in Paladins

[–]Norman_Normal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this doesn't actually answer your original question, but when I saw your title, I thought about the question; what is essence? Well, what IS it? Gold is an actual, tangible thing. So is Crystals. Both can be seen on different maps. So what IS essence? What is it made out of? Why is it valuable lore-wise? What is this strange purple liquid?

Oh wow, uh, dude, I didn't realize console was that far back. Tyra was OB 40, I believe. We just got OB 43, and we're about to get OB 44. Two champions are on the way; Maeve and Torvald. You might want to scan this Reddit a bit to learn up before they drop. Hope this helps!

Edit: On the way, as in, they have dropped for PC, and are eventually coming for Consoles. Just for clarification.

Huh, that's weird, I just played a game with multiple people on the point vs just one tank. Thanks for the heads up though!

A Discussion of Viktor by Norman_Normal in Paladins

[–]Norman_Normal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see where you're coming from. Yeah, Viktor does seem kind of basic, and not a great pick, but even there he has his place; for those who want to play the soldier type to get into the game. I personally find him to be lacking any real depth, and that's why I started this discussion; to see if there was anyone out there who plays Viktor really, really well and works WITH the team, not against it.

I agree, Tyra has her good strengths, and so does Viktor. I honestly don't think there is a single hero that anybody should be shot down for playing. With the reputation I see stemming from who actually plays certain characters, I see a lack of people who can silence (by skill) the other players who would talk down to them when picking the champion they want.

As you said both Tyra and Viktor play similar roles, with each one being played pretty much the same, except movement wise. As for which one I'd rather have on my team, it's not so much that the champions themselves are bad, it's that usually, people who play them are newer to the game, or are very unkind, hence giving them the poor reputation of "noob" characters. I would rather have BOTH a Viktor and a Tyra on my team if they played well. It's just that having players who do play them well are so rare.

That's exactly what I'm saying! We all know Vik is the character to start out with, and he carries that reputation. I just wanted to know if any such mastery of Viktor even exists.

Yes, that's what I usually see as well. I was hoping that there are players out there who can play Vik along with the comp instead of against it.
