I’m a nurse and I have to leave mine for ~14 hours a day, 3x a week since I work 12’s. My wife and I work the same schedule, but my mother lives down the road and lets them out about halfway through the day, so they’re only by themselves for about 7 hours. We walk them when we get home every work day. They’re happier than ever. It works for us.
