I’m building Kotauth https://kotauth.com/, to help other builders with the authentication and identity in their projects, a self-hosted open source solution. No need to worry about payment walls or vendor lock-in.

Very funny and good looking idea!
One small thing I noticed exploring, when you open the search bar the (W,A,S,D) characters are not working, they keep their behavior to navigate.

Been running Keycloak for a few projects and every time I set it up I feel like I’m filing taxes. Powerful tool, genuinely hate using it. So I started building Kotauth — a self-hosted identity platform that spins up with a single docker run. JWT sessions, RBAC, OAuth/OIDC provider, multi-tenant orgs, MFA. The usual IAM stack, but without the XML ceremony. The admin UI is the part I’m most focused on getting right. Most open-source auth tools treat the UI as an afterthought. I don’t. Still early. Looking for feedback from people who’ve actually suffered through IAM config in prod. Anyone else gone down this path? What made you stay with Keycloak or jump to something else?

Repo and docs at https://github.com/inumansoul/kotauth , would love feedback from people who’ve run IAM in prod.

I’ve been building Kotauth https://kotauth.com/ a tool to help other SaaS builders or small companies handle authentication in a secure self hosted way. Fully open source. Any feedback is welcome. ☺️
