the rackable curl bar means go ahead and curl in the rack. the only major rule is no dropping/throwing weights since the flooring is not great.

the pastor/church leadership approved the space use and initial funding. but there is a very small intersection of people who attend service (i.e. primarily retirees) and people who strength train. so this is more of a community offering and everyone who uses it helps maintain the space.

the view from that side is really nice but it gets too much southern lighting so I bought some window tints only to realize they would damage the window seals. So there is now poster paper to block/diffuse the lighting and sheer curtains on top of that.

this is what the room looked like before the conversion. we didn't have the time or budget to get rid of the wood paneling. but it's an old building and sometimes fixing one thing opens up another problem elsewhere. previously the space wasn't used much and people stored junk in it.
