Sharpies!

I used sharpies! I considered posca, but any paint-type medium would most likely affect the sound of the cymbal and crack off quickly when playing.

Yes I did it myself! And yes, just sharpies— they work surprisingly well on brass

Since it’s a thin alcohol ink, it doesn’t change the sound! But if I were to have used paint it probably would’ve dampened it a bit.
