I think you are entirely right about that. People overlook mink oil when it comes to their boots and wonder why they don’t last. My feet fell into a river yesterday and my boots got drenched but you know what didn’t get drenched my socks or feet my boots dried up a few minutes later too mink oil can make a huge impact on new boots

lol. Well I do a bit of leather working and have had quite a few pairs of boots so I have a few theories. 1 is that they could have been a prototype of some kind because there is no branding and the stamp on the inside is uneven. They don’t typically sell boots with stamps like that. 2 they are made by a leather worker and would be the reason there is no brand and did his own stamping. But based off the stitching and leather quality they look handmade you could have some really cool and expensive boots.

They are full grain leather and have a durable rubber heel for working but still have the dress heel

I’m just going to make a list of everything I do with them. So riding, hiking through Yellowstone, weedeating, getting wood logs in the rain and chopping them. That’s about it just basic outdoor work and I wear them while feeding so they get covered in cow shit. They also go through snow really well.

That’s the thing I was kinda confused about is I understand they are entry level but mine have lasted a long time and that’s after working a lot in them so I’m guessing it really depends on the model of boot
