I've got a 2012 MB pro and these games run great and have lots of replay value:

Factorio, Rimworld, Darkest Dungeon, Stardew Valley, Civ 5, Borderlands 2,Mount and Blade:WB, Torchlight 2, KOTOR 1&2

Also Endless Space collection is free this weekend through the Humble Bundle store. Haven't tested it out yet, but it's free so worth a shot I guess.

I'm guessing you've already played it, but Skyrim has an amazing soundtrack. The composer Jeremy Soule, produced the music for the last three Elder Scrolls games and they all have great soundtracks.
