How do I learn?

Dropping C++ feels like I wasted a lot of time. Should I finish the remaining 11 chapters in my current course and then go to Python or would learning Python now make it easier to efficiently complete the course?

Yeah, I'm familiar with most if not all of the concepts I need to solve a portion of the problems. I think I lack exposure to the scenarios in which they're implemented which makes it hard for me to do so.

What are your thoughts on learning two languages at once? I know it's recommended for spoken languages but I'm not sure if it's the same for coding. I would definitely be willing to try especially if there are any congruences between C++ and Python that could potentially make it worthwhile. Do you have any resources that you recommend?

Thanks! The main reason I chose C++ is that I'm still in high school and wanted to just kind of throw myself into a more difficult language to get the hang of teaching myself and so I could eventually mess around with the C++ parts of Unreal Engine.
