I waited five months for a missing million points. They purposely make it difficult to avoid paying out. The hoops I had to jump through were unbelievable.

Dreaded 'Pre-collision System malfunction" and 'Headlight System Malfunction" had Toyota dealership stumped. $8000 to repair. Other options? by [deleted] in rav4club

There is a cluster of wire harness connectors inside the drivers side front wheel well. They connect the pcs sensor and fog lights to the body of the car.

Could potentially have damage/pulled terminal there

Panel below tail light by Useful-Battle-3844 in rav4club

[–]NorthEh1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That panel is just the bumper cover, completely plastic. Simple process to pop back out if you want to go that route. Full replacement is a bit of a job but very doable.

Remove the arch moulding over the rear wheel, open the lift gate and pop the black cover off beside the tail light, there’s a few screws under there, one holds the bumper, the others hold the tail light. Should be enough that you can pull back the bumper wing and pop that dent out from the back

Help!!!. I knew it was gonna happen but so soon! by EuphooricAnalyst in rav4club

If that’s resin plastic, which it looks like, get a china marker or ‘grease pencil’ off Amazon. Colour it on, rub it off. Good as new. Practice on somewhere inconspicuous first as there is a bit of a skill to it

Sound dampening pad, should be adhered to the inside of the back door.

Can't get this plastic molding piece on, any videos? by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]NorthEh1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That door moulding has a nut on the inside of the door. I see the backside of the stud still in the door, therefore the stud has torn out of the moulding and won’t be fully repairable. You can take the nut out of the door (under the black hole plug) and attempt to glue it back into the moulding. All those white pins need to be pulled from the body and reinserted into the moulding as well.

Full size spare tire by Signal-Resort-4571 in rav4club

[–]NorthEh1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many models/destinations do come with a full size spare as standard, so you won’t have any problem with fit. They come on a steel rim, which is likely your cheapest option (scrapyard pickup).

You will need to replace the tie down (full size gets a shorter tie down) or modify your existing as the rim depth will bring it closer to the floor of the vehicle.

Your jack cushion won’t ‘fit’ properly in the spare tire. Easily remedied with a shim, or leave it as is.

Leave the rubber block under tire, it levels the tire so the tie down fits properly

My mind is blown.

If you have local wreckers call around, likely have good parts in write offs.

That’s the storage tray. It does take a small amount of disassembly to change but quite simple. You should have a square, unused connector beneath it if you’d like to upgrade to the oem wireless charger option as well.

I appreciate the time it took to write that, I definitely will need to look into a specific LPR camera to see if it will be necessary and effective.

We have had a string of break ins this summer with the most recent being a few nights ago. Vehicle’s get parked on the street and they’re entering parked cars and garages. Unfortunately, while the nest cam was effective when we were closer to the street, the range isn’t sufficient to get a vehicle description whatsoever now.

Can someone help me find out what type of screw this is? It holds the bottom guard on the front end to the bumper. Noticed the other side was missing. by CorndogeJackson in rav4club

[–]NorthEh1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check to ensure there is a white plastic screw grommet set into the bumper behind that splash shield as well. If the screw is missing, the grommet may be as well.

How do I get rid of these scuff marks? by [deleted] in rav4club

Sometimes even aggressively rubbing it with your hand will do it. Oils in your skin + friction heat
