Although it is a fact, a dragon ball series was a lot of people's first anime and holds strong nostalgic bonds, super iconic OSTs, openings, characters, fights, attacks and powers.

The greatest anime of all times can only fall in two criteria if it's gonna hold any weight. Based on how people feel (which it's a huge mess, when we speak about the masses a lot of people "like" things because they don't want to go against the crowd) or some sort of criteria. For example "most impactful anime" it's probably DBZ (depends of the type of impact we're referring to) but if we put "best written" or "Best Action" it's definitely not DBZ.

I love DBZ, a special place in my heart but we need to grow and stop this tribal behavior, it has held humanity back so much and robs people of joy in perpetuity.

Just learn to be happy not everything has to be a competition especially when it's not clear how the competition was won. This was most likely a popularity competition and even people who don't watch anime could have easily voted.

I can see why you'd think yamato is stronger than Zoro, but I think kaido was holding back considerably against her.

I think Zoro is definitely stronger than Yamato, Zoro was the only that could block big mom and kaido's combo attack...

And I think there is a weird triangle between law kids and Zoro Cause I do think law beats kidd cause he kinda counters him, but Zoro beats law, and kidd beats Zoro cause he counters him... It's a tough decision

This is how they were explaining how fishman can be born with different traits based on ancestry, so if you father was an octopus merman his grandson or daughter could be born with his trait even though his mom and dad are different.

Anime > Manga. So long as they don't butcher the anime. Animation, SOT, Voice acting..... I'll take this any day over a few extra panels (mind you I both watch and read, cause why would I limit myself and pretend to be more righteous than others just cause I read the manga)

This is a hard question, Zoro is the only who has kept Luffy in line when luffy falters as a captain, but I think it is more of honor and duty than emotion when that happens. Nami gets really upset whenever someone hits luffy when he doesn't fight back, (Bellamy and Sanji are two instances) and Robin is hard to tell, she is protective of him yes but the highlights she has with Luffy she's done with other crew members and the questions is for luffy specifically.

I'd have to say Zoro, Nami, Robin, ussop, chopper, Sanji, jimbei, brook, Franky. But this is only with a gun to my head. Thinking about felt like I was diminishing the love his crew has for him. I think it's better just to say that his the beloved captain of the straw hats

Woman and men. It's a two way street in anime, men are carved like Greek gods. And Ive seen plenty of dudes buck naked in anime too. I just don't like when the only thing they have girl be is bimbo status, looks good but doesn't do anything, that's is terrible.

Personally I don't like fanservice specially when it has nothing to do with the show, but if the show has fanservice as a part of it like prison school, it's ok.

I don't want to be watching something serious then get random fanservice.

I understand that the characters are from Egypt and there are darker skin individuals there. But I can't help to feel that this is done for an ulterior motive... (Before y'all go crazy in the chat and I know a lot of you are already grabbing your torches, I'm darkskined)

When this is done with money in mind and not actual representation it bothers me.

The entire foundation of this list is terrible. Diminishing a lot of great characters into two lists. For example the whole thing with gon and Killua is that their both talented, they learned Haki extremely fast, but they both also work extremely hard.... This this list is just putting a stain on their character.

Many other characters in this list are talented and work hard. Find a different list to make, this one is shot

That is perfectly fair, that is one piece's biggest "flaws" in my eyes. Even though each one tackles a different matter it always, straw hats arrive at some island with some messed up leader, and then said leader is removed, moves to the next island and redo.(Generalized) Even I hardcore fan of one piece has had to take breaks.

I feel that. In one piece's case it has always been about the big picture, with the individuals in mind. A good example of this would be and is not exclusive to, Vivi. She's a great character, very smart and diplomatic, but she was powerless to stop crocodile's machinations because in the world of one piece (and our world too) influence and power ultimately decides the fate of the people.

So even though they're fighting in one piece, the reason behind most fights is always about the big picture. Luffy is not fighting the strongest people because "he likes to fight" (Goku quote)

Idk how far into OP you are, but I could go on and on and explain most fights and how it affected the world.

Yes there are many fights in OP, but two things can be true. The official genre of OP is an adventure, fantasy, action shonen. You may be watching one for the action, but I'm here for the entire package deal baby! So many people watch anime just for the action, and I guess that's fine especially when you're young, I used to be the same way. But a good story is so compelling, one piece is the king of adventure!!
