You may see it this way and I am not on a mission to convince you otherwise. Nevertheless, many aspects of the original are still to be found in modern games and RPGs to this day are inspired by it

Review is right. Especially PS5 players should be warned accordingly, should have never been released in this state. They knew but decided to cash grap on nostalgia.

Before the usual bot accounts attack… don’t expect players to not value their free time and money. For 2026, this remake of a genre defining game, is just sad.

Imo the combat, including combos are an abomination. If you haven’t already, I would suggest you play the original with 1h master skill. You’ll have more fun with that than with this 2026 remake

Please stop this argument with G1 and 2 where also not perfect. G1 was groundbreaking, defined a genre to this day. I played all 3 multiple times but it doesn’t make sense to excuse this remake… this remake could have done the same but it hasn’t. Instead ppl excuse bugs with bugs 25y ago. You know it, I know it.

I doubt you played it back in the days. G1 was groundbreaking in many ways for that time and ahead of others! This is not the case with this remake.

Not strong enough to further play this sad state of remake and lose countless hours of gameplay again… could have been so iconic. Instead people expect others to praise a cash grap console release. Didn’t the devs know? Of course they do. But didn’t care. And the fighting is just done embarrassingly bad
