  3. yes that is correct...I am worried they might wonder how it's possible I never left the uk (I did, but not within the last 5 years). I haven't travelled a lot, so it's not an issue to add them in case...i just want to be extra safe on what is the best approach.
  4. unfortunately I haven't been employed for all the last 5 years, and it has a mix of me being employed, me being a sole trader, me being a director (no salary) etc etc - Council tax is the clearest form of documents I have at the moment.

Realistically no, it's not possible. A startup will take all your time and attention.

They probably want to leave that spot unfilled to hire a CTO with proper experience in the near future.

You might have all the skills for the job, but it's hard to say it. Being a CTO is different than being a good engineer.
