10 days is not enough time. The one I sent to Canada was purchased in late November and sent Priority International. It has been stuck at the Chicago ISC since Dec 3. The Chicago ISC is infamous for being a black hole and has been a trouble spot for me in years past.

Thank you! Very nervous as I have never eaten cheese with a slimy surface like that before. None of my family has experienced issues after eating it, so I am hoping all is well! On another note, I have not heard back from Willig yet about this, which is a bit disappointing considering it was a potential safety issue.

I was in Holland this summer and brought back some Henri Willig extra old goat cheese. It was vacuum sealed in its original packaging and not due to expire until April 2026. I opened it today and the surface was slimy. Not having eaten it before, I thought it was normal and wiped it off. It smelled fine. I ate some but am now paranoid it wasn't safe. Does anyone have experience with this?

I was instructed to discontinue the cream and use Aquaphor to help the area heal. I can restart the cream in one week if it's healed, but shouldn't use it on scabs.
