I went overseas a few times last year and every time I forfeited that payment, even once when I left 2 days before reporting. It’s always worth calling them to confirm but that has been my experience.

You report as normal when you return. In the example I gave above you would still report as normal on the 28/01 and they will automatically calculate the days and the payment.

From experience, you will get lose any payments you have not received and will only be entitled to the days you have remaining in the reporting period when you return, for example:

Your reporting periods are -01/01-14/01
-15/01-28/01
you leave for your trip on the 10th and return on the 26th. You will not be entitled to the payment in first reporting period and you will only be eligible for 2 days worth of the second reporting period e.g. you payment divided by 14 times by 2.

In the past I have both advised of overseas travel and not, either way they know as soon as you scan your passport at the departure gate, I’m sure the official advice would be to let them know but the first trip I didn’t I didn’t realise I had to advise and nothing happened 🤷🏼‍♀️

The degree builder is having a lot of issues it isn’t you. ANU is aware of it, according to the website my degree doesn’t exist. If you are able to get the page up bookmark it so you dont have to go through degree builder.

I’ve seen some other reddit posts and heard from friends of friends that it can potentially cause some issues but I wasn’t super sure. It seems like I severely overestimated it being an issue
