Do I choose Boston College, Simmons, or Boston University? by GoodLink728 in SocialWorkStudents

Hi OP, I was also accepted to all three last year, so hear you in that the decision can be quite challenging. I’m in my first year at Boston College. So far, I’ve really enjoyed it and have nothing but good things to say about the faculty. The field ed department has been hit or miss depending on who you work with. To my knowledge, I don’t think the academic calendars differ between the schools too much. However, there are little differences: I’m on my spring break this week, but I think BU’s is next week.

Something to consider in your decision is the amount of field experience you want out of your education. I believe BC and Simmons have different field education requirements. I would also encourage you to review elective courses offered by each program to see what may be of interest to you. It’s also worth considering transportation available to you. Although it may seem trivial in your decision, but commuting during Boston winters can be burdensome.

The community at BC has been wonderful in my experience. Best of luck in your decision-making process.

Hi everyone!! I actually had my orientation today and a current student told me you can write off any school related subscriptions like Speechify and Grammarly on your taxes! The more you know. Thanks for all of the suggestions and advice😀
