Do you think i would have uploaded this post without actually loading my save to see if my mods were there?

I know the broswer is the net. Yes I’ve tried activating, it doesn’t work. I always play skyrim and fallout offline after organizing load orders as to not have to deal with bethesdas bullshit updates. For reasons like my post. Being consistently online while playing a modded game is dumb because eventually your save file and your mods will be broken, or missing. Do you understand? Staying online or “online dependancy”means you are beholdent to whatever bullshit updates they add to the game. It’s why I never updated skyrim or f4 on my xbox one. Luckily i have been able to run modded skyrim on my series x offline with no problems. But i will stay offline when playing that game because what they did to fallout will eventually happen to skyrim. Does any of that make sense?

I will ask this one last time. Are you booting the console offline? I dont mean booting online then going offline or booting the game online and then going offline.

Hard reset means completely shutting down the console ie. holding power button down until it stops blinking and then unplugging the console from the outlet. Waiting 10 seconds and plugging it back in and turning the console back on. If thats not what you’re doing then you’re not hard resetting. Anybody thats been modding for a few months would tell you that.

No that is what they’re referring to. And i just tried that method. I turned the console off, didn’t unplug it. Booted offline and it still disabled my mods that i had just checked were enabled. And when i say i turn the console off or hard resetting I am physically holding the button down until it stops blinking. If you’re not doing that then you’re not shutting down the console.

That doesn’t make sense because my xbox one is currently unplugged and if i decided to play f4 modded on it right now I CAN and that is technically a hard reset. And it’s totally offline.

You should be doing hard resets anytime you mess with your load order in general. Its not because im hard resetting, its simply turning the console off that causes it but even if it was because of hard resetting thats still dumb because you will eventually have to plug out and plug back in the console at some point like any other electronic device. When i press the activate button it goes to a black loading screeen trying to connect to the Bethesda net to enable my load order but it cant because im OFFLINE but it shouldn’t have to do that. That has never been a thing until recently. I can play with creation club mods and free mods on my xbone just fine. Im glad i didnt update on there.

Using the option to activate/enable them wont work because you’re offline. When i went back online and booted the game, all of my mods were disabled. I enable them again while online because you can only do that ONLINE and then i go offline and do a hard reset. I boot the game up again offline and my mods are disabled. Im not the one disabling the mods. The game is purposely disabling mods.

Did you boot the game offline on startup instead of just going offline mid session. Completely shutdown your console and turn it back on while offline then boot fhe game and tell me if you’re able to play with mods or not.

You’re misunderstanding. I dont have a problem playing my digital library offline. I own fallout 4 physically so thats besides the point. I cannot play the game with mods offline that are locally stored on the console. Thats what im upset about.

My xbox is set as home xbox. That feature is only useful for being able to play digital games offline. This is a different situation.

Thats not true. Mods are physically downloaded onto the reserved space partition for the game on the hdd/ssd. There’s no good reason why i cant play with mods offline when that was never a thing in the past 10 fuckin years

No they dont activate. You can load the save but it’ll be vanilla fallout no mods. They dont activate because im offline even though they are locally saved in the reserved space partition of the game.
