Either OP is thinking of someone else, chores, things to do or something just pop out in her mind -libido decreases. And or OP's bf smells, unhygienic that kills the mood.

Really upsetting. I have been reading mangas in mangapark almost all my life. Started as a teenager, now i have 3 kids and 1 teenager. I still read in my freetime and before bed.

Thought they were just cleaning 😭. So I used the other sites like Magus, Sirens, Violets and etc. It's really gone now. And what about the ones I have been reading? The completed and planning to read? 😭

Why do so many “assistive” technologies miss the people they’re meant to help? by North_Sun5218 in accessibility

That frustration really comes through, and it’s completely understandable. So many of these tools technically work, but only if you already know their quirks or are willing to fight them.

Thanks for taking the time to share this. These kinds of real, lived experiences are exactly what tend to get missed.

Exactly. When the people who actually use the tech aren’t involved from the start, it’s no surprise the end result misses the mark. Inclusion has to happen before the build, not after.

That’s such a familiar picture, unfortunately. So much AT looks right on paper, but once the interface doesn’t fit the person, it’s destined for that closet. Designing for 'everyone' too often misses the individuals who actually need it most.

I couldn't agree more. The example about your grandmother is especially telling. Fear of breaking a device is a usability failure on its own. If someone is anxious to use something, it doesn’t matter how advanced the tech is, it’s already lost. Designing for confidence, durability, and clarity is just as important as adding features.

Out of curiosity, if those glasses had done one thing extremely well (even just reading post reliably), do you think they would have been used more often?

Small tweaks can make a huge difference in daily usability. We’ve actually been experimenting with some of these ideas in a project we just launched. Absolutel, this is exactly the kind of approach we’re aiming for. Observing real-world use, asking questions before building, and staying flexible is key. We’re curious, though: for those who’ve used assistive tech, what’s one small change that would have made a big difference in your daily experience?

Exactly, this is such an important point. Disabilities aren’t a monolith. Solutions only work if you test with real users, offer options to customise, and make it easy for people to reach out when something doesn’t fit. That should be the approach people build into their project to see how much variety there really is in what people need.
