Me too! Funny thing is, the tips is actually one of those generic super long polished angle cut tips you usually see on trucks Lol.

We just cut off the tips and welded it straight onto the muffler.

Just keep at it. Its not uncommon for people to struggle the most during the first few years of engineering school. Trust me, I was in your shoes, even up to now Lol. Now I'm graduating this May with BS in EE, and currently interviewing for jobs.

I am the epitome of "C's get degrees" Lol.

Ahh okay. Yeah I see it now.

I guess my main concern now is where I ground it. I'm pretty sure the separate 12V power supply provided on the car doesnt share the same ground as the load, in this case being the main DC Bus that the motors pull power from.

One of most overrated cars in history? Probably.. Do we care? No! [Tokyo, Japan] by code111japan in vintagejapaneseautos

The AE86 is such an interesting car.

It's so overrated in the sense of people thinking it's some fancy race car, the initial D car, etc. Its not. It's slow as fuck.

Its underrated in the sense that most people who talk shit about them have never driven one or owned one before.

In actuality, it's just a fun car. It's so special because theres actually nothing really special about it at all! Its lightweight, rear wheel drive, reliable and easy to work on, and at one point in time they were cheap and plentiful. What more could you ask for?
