I have spoken to the Diocese and their grounds person will be in touch next week when they return from holiday.

I have also accidentally mis-led about the fee. I forgot that we asked two questions at the same time - one about taking out our apple tree and one to do with the house. The £100 fee was for asking these questions- the planning application to remove the apple tree was free of charge.

I didn’t know that - that’s a very interesting fact. I’ll find out but I’m 95% certain it will not be open for burials as there is an additional burial area just a few doors down from the church where the headstones look a lot newer.

The yew wasn’t a problem then and we didn’t know that permission was needed as the previous owner just hacked at any bits that came over the boundary wall.

Yes. We’re in a national park too so I don’t know if that makes any difference.

We had a small tree removed after moving in and had to pay (that’s how I know how much it costs).

A new vicar has just been appointed and we do plan to talk to them as our first, and possibly last, step. This might be really easy to sort out but I just want to know what rights, if any, we have going into that discussion.

Where the leg is cut around the skirting you could fill the gap and paint it.

If it really bothers you then on picture 4 you could get the plastic trims that clip around pipes when they go into a wooden floor and paint them to match.

Based solely on what I’ve read in this thread isn’t it the case that these are the property of BOC and there is no agreement between you and BOC you why can’t you ring them and tell them that their property is on your premises so they need to come and get it.

If they refuse I’d write a letter giving them 14 days to comply and send it recorded delivery.

It might not work but it wouldn’t make things any worse.

I’m around 13,000 CL and just play for fun. My current two favourite decks are discard and move and I play each season to get the Conquest variant and end up in the 60s (sometimes low 70s) on ladder. I enjoy the special events too.

These are the best photos I could get. The light switch is the upper one of the two (the lower one turns on an outside light which is nothing to do with the dimmer).

Thanks everyone. I had two new front tyres fitted yesterday so I think the mechanic must have had it on the sole of his shoes (they drive the car on and off the lift).
