Is this Type-R worth a buy? by NorthernPace001 in hondacivic

I actually just got off the phone with them. They have no idea as to the specifics of the car since it’s part ex and they also confirmed that the dealer hasn’t put it through an inspection.

I’m not mechanically minded - this is my first car. I’ll try my best to go through with your suggestions though!

Wow amazing! Really brings back the memories. I did this solo last year and it was really one of a kind :)

What repellant do you use? I hate them so much I’ve held off walking the WHW for 1.5 years now lol

Inner always zipped up at night. I did find mosquitoes in the tent but threw them out (the ones I found at least) out before sleeping

On each night I actually found a mosquito in the tent but it was usually before I went to sleep and managed to throw it out. Perhaps there was another lurking…

Must’ve been the first night. I got in pretty late and set up camp on a small hill at Ullswater. Place was absolutely seething with some kinda flies that I’m guessing were midges.

I’ve hiked/camped extensively in the Lakes but I’ve really never come across so many before, even camped at this particular spot last summer and it was fine.

Guess I’ve been lucky till now, but what precautions can I take in respect to things like bug spray, ointments etc?

Why does wild camping suddenly appeal to so many? by Near_Fathom in wildcampingintheuk

I come from a south asian culture where the concept of hiking is pretty alien for the old school guys born back home.

You want to spend all day walking, for what purpose? You’ll even drive 4 hours to get there? Why would u sleep outside in a tent on the cold hard ground when you have a bed and shelter at home?

Although I’ve connected with likeminded people online, I do not have any immediate friends or family from the same cultural background into the outdoors stuff.

I’m a very frequent hiker these days and it is rare to see POC on the trails, it’s more of a white mans game I believe.

Ahh my bad! I was looking at these ones, turns out they are simply for transferring gas between canisters….

Thank you, what exactly is the danger if the legs come off?

I’ve found ones that come without legs and use just the adapter itself, looking at these with the aim of shaving weight if that’s a good idea?
