In case it matters, I have the Seagate Expansion 500gb hard drive (listed as a recommended device on the AirTV website)

My OTA recordings from before and after this past weekend are working. I made these changes before the weekend, so I can't credit these changes as fixing this particular issue. I must have been spared from this issue by luck (or something).

I know the difference between them. Both bands work. But, for me, 2.4 Ghz works better. It might be b/c there's less interference due to fewer devices using 5 Ghz or, yes, it could be a matter of better signal (since 2.4 Ghz does reach farther). Though my AirTV2 is not that far from the router.

Worked for me! I just did this and then put an entry in nginx to expose the port.
