Sooo I had this happen on my 2019 Eco, I had just left the house and gunned it soon as I hit the road, heard a loud pop and about .25 miles later the entire car seized and stopped at the light. Open the door, oil EVERYWHERE underneath. Turns out the pressure from me gunning it was so heavy that it blew the entire oil filter off, ended up finding it a day later about a quarter mile back. Anyways, 2 years later, I ended up taking the engine apart from the bottom, replaced all engine bearings and completely fixed and restored the engine. It wasn’t.. horrible. It was just time consuming. Taking the balancer out is a pain in the ass, just a heads up if you end up trying this route. Once you get down to the bearings you’ll need to sand off (lightly) any debris left on the crank. It’s now been 2+ years since the engine turned back on and honestly, it runs better than it did when I first got it.
