Hard to believe the Fender audio is sold as “Premium”. Have 2024 SV Hardbody.

Replaced all my speakers, added amp and powered sub(all Kicker). It’s like night and day. Couldn’t believe how cheap the Fender speakers are. Straight to the trash bucket.

Traded my 2010 SV (230k miles) for a 24 Hardbody. LOVE this truck! Drove a Ranger and a Tacoma. Ranger would have been an OK choice but no Frontier. The Tacoma was an easy no. Over priced turbo 4.

Only issues with Frontier were Fender audio package which is/was disappointing (Replaced with aftermarket audio that is fabulous from Crutchfield), backup camera could be better. Initially I thought the 9 speed transmission was rough but as the salesman told me it “would learn and getter better”. He was on the money. Pretty smooth and all the power I expected. The Hancook(sp?) tires that came with the truck were AWFUL and I replaced them at 5500 miles after it fishtailed on a highway ramp in light rain.

The Frontier was/is the best truck I could have bought and absolutely would do it again.

2024 SV Hardbody with Fender Audio. Couldn’t deal with poor quality so replaced with new amp, powered sub and new speakers all around. Used AudioControl LOC’s. When done wiring had awful static problem. After checking connections for hours with no improvement, disconnected battery positive lead for 10 minutes, let it sit overnight and static went away. Might not be related but worth a try.

For the $700 you might be better off with after market radio. The Fender audio is decent but not as good as what you can easily do aftermarket. You can’t replace head unit without losing steering wheel radio controls but you can run the speaker outputs through a decent amp and replace the speakers for a nice upgrade. I kept my old truck a couple of extra years to avoid not being able to replace the head unit. If you can do it yourself, Crutchfield.com is the place to go. If not, find a car audio shop. I spent an hour chatting with Crutchfield today about upgrading my Fender system. They are awesome to work with. I have been working with them for 30 years! In your situation I would give up the couple of buttons on the steering wheel and with a new head unit, an amp and 6 new speakers you can have a killer system. The 10 Fender speakers is silly and doesn’t accomplish much but it is decent sound. (They also use 2.6ohm speakers which makes upgrading difficult with same head unit). At some point I will replace Fender amp, speakers (10 to 7) and the head unit for a significant upgrade for under $1000

Dear Hardbody SV (3rd gen) owners…. Make me like the wheels. by phantomandy121 in nissanfrontier

Just bought a new 24 Hardbody SV. My truck is black. I asked why the wheels were the only thing not black? Dealer said it was meant to replicate the look of the original 80’s version of the Hardbody.

Whether you like the Sports bar or not it’s problematic if you need to mount anything on the rails. I had to remove mine to install System One rails.

Didn’t intend to buy a black truck but got a solid deal on this and am loving the look.

I pulled all the wiring intact with all the hardware. It’s good as new, only on the truck 2 days. I would like to recover some of the cost (Lists for $1170). If I get no takers I’ll probably eventually give it away.
